i wanna propose a couples segment: why don't you interview a couple, where one or both are shandy listeners or is a couple formed/maintained by shandy's advice? we're a cmmunity and i'd love to see how other shandys are doing and what made them better in relationships as always, love to shandy, i really appreciate your efforti being genuine and delightful at each episode. i can't believe this podcast is free

Yes that was such a great analogy. My husband calls me Wifi, bc I'm everywhere talking fast and am connected to lots of people (and like to connect people) and he's the docking station for the wifi keeping it grounded. Now ssying it out loud the kite example is much better LOL

I've never heard of either of them and has been fascinating to hear about a long snapping career. One thing that hits a little odd for me in this interview is that I'm 30 minutes in and while I've gotten some sense of Andrew, I still don't have any idea what Shawn's appeal is all about. Though I don't doubt she's lovely. It's just been humorous to hear her compared to the Mona Lisa and described as someone everyone loves, meanwhile she's described herself as very guarded. Thank you, Shandy, for the entertainment! :D

Ohhhhhh love their energy and connection, the perfect and most compatible signs Virgo and Capricorn. I checked out their signs because of the oozing positivity and goofiness. I am so glad i watched it, usually i am not so keen if it is not a bachelor couple.

I really enjoyed this episode as I do the love fests in general. I was not familiar with the couple before listening to this. My one disappointment though was Shandy not answering Andrew's question back to them. I'm hoping it'll be answered on Shawn & Andrew's podcast.

So to meet a girl, I just need to go on a blind date and then follow up by sending continuous, random messages to her regardless of whether she's responding or not? Man, I always thought that was stalker-creeper territory. Maybe I'll start doing that and I'll find my soulmate! Haha! Just kidding! What a great couple. I really enjoyed hearing from them. I watched Shawn on DWTS so it was nice to catch up with her and where she's at now. Andy giving the closing statements was so adorable.

I would never actually comment this, but I feel like Sharleen would actually appreciate it. When Andy was describing a long snapper as a thankless job. That is exactly the way the I describe page turners for classical pianists. If you do your job well, no one notices. And if you mess up you ruined the performance

I’m glad that they ended up being a wonderful match! I’ve followed them for a while and have loved them. However, there is a fine line between positive persistence and selfish persistence. I’d hate for young women to be watching this hearing Sharleen commend him for being persistent thinking that it’s okay for a man to ignore her signs of not wanting to be with him or her saying she’s not interested. I know that’s not what happened here, but I know handsome, southern, nice guys all too well and they don’t always turn out so positive. So, if you’re reading this and susceptible to pleasing others: when it comes to dating, don’t please anyone but yourself! Even if he’s nice, handsome, charming, and persistent like in the movies (aka “perfect on paper, he likes me, I guess I’ll cave and give him another chance”), if he’s not right for you, he’s not right for you. Stand your ground even as he plays the traditional “I’m going to chase her because she doesn’t know she loves me, yet” game. Obviously I’m a little bitter from experience 😹😹

Hi Olivia! I totally agree but I think in Shawn and Andrew's case, the proof has been in the pudding. At the end of the day, she wasn't exactly saying "no" to him either, and though Andy was making fun of him for "having a conversation with himself", Andrew did end up being right about their connection. I actually know more than a few couples where a guy's unflappability (unflappableness?) is precisely what led to marriage/family/the "happily ever after"-who am I to tell them they were wrong? I think sometimes these are black and white situations, and other times they're grey. Their story firmly lands in grey territory IMO, and ultimately Andrew's tenacity led to their beautiful partnership and family. I guess my point is, while I commend Andrew here, it doesn't mean I'm painting the broad stroke that all men shouldn't take no for an answer. :) Thanks for your comment and food for thought!

Absolutely no disrespect... You two couples are so different I was nervous about this (I feel this way a lot when I see who is on the love fest episodes), but you two welcome everyone in so lovingly it always works out. Also I genuinely feel Shawn and Andrew have struggled in their relationship in a way that you two have not and (read as a very quiet whisper) would not have accepted for yourselves.
