I have already watched this few times but I could see both their pains. Although I find although Omar is confused he does not dig deep to find out why she leaves him confused. He does not discuss with neczme or sinan. If he did he would have received some clues.

Very insightful comments. I always felt Defne’s pain. Although I felt for Omer, I didn’t relate to his character as much as I did Defne’s. On so many occasions he was wishy washy. If he was worried about something that seemed off in their relationship he should have been willing to track down every lead until he had answers. So many things were left unfinished and unsaid between them. He seemed to give up very easily. I especially disliked how he allowed himself to be played by the groupie women trying to attach themselves to him. Surely he’s not that stupid and didn’t realize that these woman are interested in a romantic/ physical relationship with him. Iz was the worst. maybe because she had a history with Omer she felt entitled. He could have put a stop to the come ons by telling her that he wasn’t interested in her romantically. Why would you allow your best friend, to tell you if you stayed in for the night instead of going out, that she may want to misbehave with you. She kissed him full mouthed and he kissed her back when he was inebriated, despite that he thought in was Defne, it wasn’t.

Omer was the one suffering more.....I absolutely had no sympathy for Defne....she knew what was to be done to end the suffering.....he was in the dark....in the dark.....she gaslit him.....absolutely no remorse or empathy for Defne.

@@sandrajohnson4778 I can see this view and I agree to a point although every time Defne took courage to tell him Niremen black mailed her or someone stopped her. She lived in fear of losing him. Although drama leaves you with a question if she told him earlier what reaction would he had. Defne waited until they were walking up the aisle getting married. I also thought Omer never once weighted many good things she did for him instead his immediate reaction to anything he did not like was to walk away since he was young.

@@ShahanaGhazi I'd hve to agree....but unfortunately I am the same way....I tend to walk away but I see it as taking a time out.....omer and defne talking at that point in time would of been worse in my opinion.

Yes, I love the office scene too. Defne arranges his desk, takes the cap off the pen and places it in his hand and gives him the glass of water. They are so in sync and don’t seem to realize that they are so coordinated in their movements together.

That why iz is there ,because Sinan got her there. Now Sinan feels guilty what he did. Omer and Sinan been friends forever. But Omer not like Sinan. Sinan forgives Omer does not forgive fast. So in a way Sinan hurt both Defne and Omer.

@gailahanour4146 I agree Sinan made Iz stay for a month to create problems between Omer and Defne, but thankfully, their love was too strong, so maybe out of regret in season 2, he got Omer back from Rome for Defne. Sinan knew Defne wasn't married, and he played his role of reuniting them like a best friend would do

I thought it was Sinan’s doing. He asked Iz to stay to distract Omer, so Sinan could make a move on Defne.

Technically not cheating. Defne dumped him without an explanation. Even when she finally explained, it was a weak explanation, seeing it from Ömer’s side. He took it way better than most people would. And still, he can’t keep his eyes off Defne, and follows her everywhere. It’s too bad that he gives Iz so much hope by not responding to her flirtatious comments.
