Love in a Time of War: Picasso’s Masterpiece Dora Maar

2 жыл бұрынIn 1939, as Europe was on the brink of war, Picasso created Dora Maar (Lot 1030), depicting a woman in blue against a bold, bright red background. Dora Maar was Picasso’s lover and muse in the 1930s and 1940s. She was a photographer who was 26 years his junior. Maar inspired Picasso’s art with her unique charms and creativity. During their nine-year relationship, Picasso repeatedly painted Maar, including in the renowned Weeping Woman of 1937 (in the collection of the Tate Modern).

@@jawadelectroplatingandartg4803 no doubt of this talent but this painting is simply a bad painting of that era. Now it is valuable because it is Picasso. What ever he painted now worthy of dollars. He probably threw this away and someone picked it from the trash
