Our Love is Blind Recap team is back and ready to summarize ALL of the Love is Blind Season 6 episodes 7-9.
We kick things off with the Kenneth and Brittany break up, that seemed to come out of nowhere once Kenneth got his phone back out of the pods. We get into Johnny and Amy's relationship and foreshadowing of drama as they get closer to their wedding date, Jimmy and Chelsea and their fight about Chelsea being "clingy", Clay and AD as they open up about their families and careers, and so much with Jeramey and Laura and Jeramey staying out until 6 AM with Sarah Anne from the Love is Blind pods.

My read on Jimmy is similar with Isaiah. The whole Jimmy/Chelsea dynamic is hard to watch because I think Chelsea’s gut instinct is telling her that he’s not that into her, and she’s totally right, but he keeps saying the things she wants to hear over and over and it’s making her spiral. I just don’t believe he means a lot of what he says, the smile doesn’t reach his eyes or something.

Correction: Chelsea brought up the "Do you ever get told you look like a celebrity " convo, not Jimmy. She definitely wanted to mention the Megan Fox thing.

Kenneth was so disrespectful. He wakes up his fiancé at 1:30 and expects her to perform, and then he keeps the lights on so she can’t sleep though she must be up by 5:30 am. Later when she tried to calmly communicate with him about her concerns, he was cold and turned blame back on her. He was cruel and uncaring for her and was so dismissive he left her crying and went back to his phone.

AD and Clay, the convo he had about black men cheating really felt like he was saying he’s going to cheat on her and that she won’t be able to find anyone who won’t. And then combine that convo with him not coming home half the time is making me suspicious about what he’s doing when he’s staying somewhere else for “work”. But his mom was right that he needs to choose to spend that time with her. It’s wild to me that someone wouldn’t go home to their partner and would sleep somewhere else.

I was very very annoyed by Kenneth’s edit. I hope it’s not accurate. He treated her like an object on the shelf. And when HE felt like touching her, he was salty that she had anything but an overwhelming response of gratitude for his attention. It shows he doesn’t care to know her schedule or care about her sleep schedule

For Chelsea and Jimmy, I think part of why she’s needing constant reassurance is because he’s clearly not into her. His mouth is saying he’s into her but his eyes are not saying the same thing. Look at how he looked at AD in the first drop vs how he looks at Chelsea. He’s never looked at Chelsea with an ounce of that excitement.

Kenneth was over that relationship and looking for the exit. That’s why it ended so abruptly when it could have just been a conversation. The gaslighting in that convo was wild too

Totally agree w Mary on Chelsea analysis. I'd take it even a bit further...I find no one on any channel is critiquing Chelsea's aggression and literal yelling at Jimmy angrily, and cutting him off. I'm surprised how everyone just bypasses that and gets so critical over the word "clingy". She was borderline abusive in my opinion.

Are you not entertained?! This season is SO much better than last. I do find it less bingeable but I'm enjoying it much more than last season overall. I think we have drama coming in the next drop.

jimmy said he did kiss her that day and she said oh yeah you did but then when he calls her clingy she goes back on the attack with "you didn't even kiss me today" GIRL lmao i like chelsea a lot but that scene lost her a lot of points with me. that was too much. that explosion at the word clingy... she needs to work through some things.

to me it sounded like britney was trying to say she wanted to be physical with him (besides sex obvi) and she wasn't getting anything from him. she said they hadn't even made out yet. that's probably why she kept asking if he's ok with her being so touchy feely too

I think because Brittany is a teacher and thats the language they use daily but I agree it sounds awkward. Still Kenneth just wow let us all down esp when Brittany was crying.

For Amy and Johnny, I think he’s being a bit ridiculous pressuring her to take birth control. There’s plenty of other options. Yes condoms aren’t 100% effective but they’re more effective than birth control and even if we believe he wants to use both then there’s other options if he wants to use two methods. I think he just wants to go in her raw without risking kids.

I can relate to both Ken and Brittany BUT Ken wasn’t open to caring about how she feels. Every time she talked he put it back on her. When clearly we see she’s pulling back because he’s pulled back so much. You have 8 weeks. You can’t give your best for even the first 2?? Dude get off your damn phone. As soon as he talked to AD he switched up. And I don’t agree that they didn’t relate besides religion. The fact is KEN didn’t put in the effort at all and Brittany did. Ken made excuses not efforts.

For Jeramey and Laura, she was really controlling with him telling him he couldn’t wear glasses, Hawaiian shirts, and couldn’t have a motorcycle anymore. I agree with her mom that they were harsh with eachother. I agree with Laura that he shouldn’t have heart reacted to the message from Sarah Ann and he should have shut that down but she shouldn’t have brought it up like that to her family. It wasn’t a kind way to bring it up. Obviously the biggest issue is him cheating on her though and I love how she finessed him into being caught in the lie. She acted like she was asleep and couldn’t see the gps which allowed her to catch him lying about his location. Truly impressive. He’s a scumbag.

Feel like I like Johnny and Amy more than everyone else, they’re the most likable couple I’ve seen on the entire show so far that just genuinely loves the other person. I think a lot of the time it’s boring, but they’re two charming, funny people from what I’ve seen. It just seems like there weren’t a lot of bumps on the road for them.

You guys really think there’s better more mature people in this season? I think the women are mostly great and ready for marriage but just like EVERY other season, majority of the guys are there for the wrong reasons or think they are ready and they’re actually not. Haven’t done any therapy, haven’t addressed their fears about commitment or marriage or physical appearances. Staying out with other girls. Leaving doors open with other women. Creating drama for no reason or causing it due to neglect or attitude and then twisting on their woman and saying she is the problem for caring about the bad behavior. It’s really not a wonder women are not getting married and don’t want to get married in record numbers. Even the men who say they’re 100% ready for marriage prove time and time again they’re NOT.

So is no one going to say what Kenneth was "giving". Probably raised by a single mom ✔️. Choir director at a black church ✔️. Saving it hard for marriage (like with no problem) ✔️. Really nice twists ✔️. This ain't rocket science, it's actually simple arithmetic. This man is bi at best. Unmarried middle school principal, he tried to make it work with a woman but couldn't. And you know those single moms at his job trying him. Dude just be you and see if that works it's 2024.

With Johnny and Amy, Amy said he doesn’t want to rely on JUST condoms. I think it’s perfectly reasonable for him to want her to be on some form of birth control, hormonal or non-hormonal birth control, if he’s doing his part and wearing condoms lol also Mary is right, vasectomies aren’t 100%-also getting a reversal at times may not work, which is why doctors are usually only willing to do the procedure if you’re sure you don’t want children in the future. Johnny does wants kids in the future so a vasectomy would be a bad choice for him.

I was a little annoyed by Johnny’s viewpoint of the whole birth control sitch. I understand him wanting to be responsible and not wanting to get pregnant anytime soon for sure! but it bothered me the way he just assumed all women are on it if they aren’t ready for kids yet lol? like he had zero concept of why some women don’t want to be on the pill… i.e the possible side effects such as mood swings, weight gain etc. also possible long term effects such as infertility…and if your not in a serious relationship you may not want to put unnecessary hormones into your body. Idk I just wish Amy would have pushed back a little bit on why she chooses not to take it because it’s normal.

No, Johnny did say that he knows hormonal birth control can affect a woman negatively. He was saying that he doesn’t want to just rely on condoms. He grew up poor and he doesn’t want his children to born into an environment when they were not prepared.

Exactly! There’s plenty of other options that don’t involve her having to something extreme like having an implant or a daily pill or regular shot. It’s incredibly invasive what he’s pressuring her to do. They could do condoms plus another method if it’s that important to him or something that’s him taking the plunge since he’s the one who feels condoms aren’t enough.
