After Kady McDermott was announced to turn on the Christmas lights at Welwyn Garden City, locals petitioned to get her replaced. With huge backlash from social media, Kady was eventually axed from the event and has since received online abuse. Kady joins Good Morning Britain to share her dismay at being axed, however, Anna May Mangan agrees with the decision to axe the 'Love Island' star.

I actually think it's disgustingly misogynistic hating women for having sexual consensual relationships in the public eye. We don't hate on the men for having sexual relationships, but we tear women down. Such a double standard. Sex between two consenting adults is a normal healthy part of a relationship, why are so many people stuck in an archaic mindset of sex as shameful or taboo? Get off your high horse!

I love kady and i don't think people should be putting her down and speaking bad about her,i know what she has done but she's isn't the only one,i think when they ask her to do this Christmas lights, they shouldn't have to speak bad about this young woman, love you girl ❤️

Nah little kids don't know who she is and if they do there parents want flogging for exposing there kids to things there not ready for. It's not her fault she doesn't understand the difference because her parents obviously haven't brought her up with any scruples but she really doesn't care anyway even when it's explained to her because all she wants is the fame game, fact.
