Alhamdulilah. I am nearly 19 (female) never dated a boy, kissed or had a haram relationship. Well, alot of men have asked me out or have told me that they love or have a crush on me but I just tell them nicely thank u and no sorry I can't. I am only going to marry one man that God has chosen for me so only this man deserves my love(wife love). I always say to my friends if a guy truly loves u then he should ask you for marriage(or to get engaged(following the proper and right way) to get to know each other more then get married) not to be his girlfriend or something.

As much as I respect the two brothers opinions above me I do have to say that you should look into it but don't feel pressured to do so. I was a Catholic of Mexican descent and now embracing Islam. Still till this day I have my own troubles that nobody in my family would understand if I explained them to them through Islamic perspective since out here in L.A and even in the motherland the custom was always to find a woman that you liked and vice versa, and get married eventually. This might have worked for many people back then but in the latter this alternative has become one of the worst since there is no restrictions to it besides eye contact, exchanging numbers, and taking it from there. Which causes many problems in the future with what the shaykh mentioned. My point was that if you are to embrace Islam feel free to read the Qu'ran, question, and ponder how it relates to your personal life. Thats part of the reason how I came to believe in it. Seeking knowledge, world music and literature. Although music can be a distraction after. Peace and Blessings to you and yours. To all my akhi's Ramadan Kareem.

I am actually really proud to say I have stayed away from all these temptations, even in high school and university while living in the UK. Only Allah SWT has been my Protector, and He is sufficient. It's something to be proud of brothers and sisters. No good can come from haraam relationships Wallahi.

Ya Allah !!! What a reminder !! Being Mexican from L.A and born into a whole different culture I have seen many examples of these problems growing up as a teen and now as a young adult. Its getting worse as time passes by with all this technology and open mindedness. Which is why I believe in Islam and it is clear to me and even people who are non-muslims can agree with this video because these are certainly problems that arise the more you do it and the more you get yourself deep into a hole that it get very difficult with time to get out of.. Which even though I have a lot of self control from time to time I fall for these desires that mislead me further away from the faith. Allah forgive me. I also would like to know who is the akhi that is reciting those ayas in the middle of the video ?? I had to close my eyes just to meditate on it and feel it going through my mind and body. So lovely.

long time ago I met a guy he was 3 years older then I, we kept on having an eye contact I felt extremely shy because I liked him his eyes appeared pure and kind,and every time he looked at me my heart would skip a bit for some reason I felt that he liked me alot.. I would blush most of the time being with him,I would avoid looking straight into his eyes cuz I was afraid that I would fall in love and then something will go wrong ... one day during our conversation I told him that I was Muslim (then I immidiatly thought that I shouldnt have told him that) but I was shocked what I heard next.. looking straight into my eyes he said "MashaAllah" he began to recite surah Al-fatiha and I recited along with him,from that day we fell in love .. but we never told each other.. we were too shy .. after some time I left the country .. I cried every night .. we had no contact.. after a year I came to meet him but was not there .. our story ended but I couldnt forget him .. i still love him the way I did for the first time ya Allah sooth my heart for it cannot find peace

So true, but its not easy getting married for me atleast. I'm required to get my career first and then my Mom wants me to have an arranged marriage to a person of the same nationality. An Imam said the prophet pbuh came to make the haram hard and the halal easy, now a days its the other way around.

+Hamza Ahmed It's difficult nowadays for many Muslims because our parents are attached to culture. Desi parents care so much about what other people think and if you don't get married to someone of the same ethnicity then they will think it's humiliation. Worst of all, sometimes they scare you and say that questioning your parents can lead you to Jahannam or that Allah says you have to treat your parents well. Children have a duty to respect their parents, however so do parents. Parents need to understand their children and respect their thoughts and feelings. The best thing to do is speak to your parents and tell them that you should marry who you think is suitable for yourself since you are the one that is going to be living with them for the rest of your life. Its best to talk to your parents and in Sha Allah, they'll understand. Tell them everything that you feel and tell them to desert cultural expectations and follow Prophet Muhammad's way of marriage.

Just want to get this off my chest. Parents please open up your hearts and allow your children to marry who they want (unless that person has bad character or no faith) Don't let your culture get in the way of Deen. This will cause your children to do harram stuff which YOU (parents) will be asked for. ( Correct me if i have been mistaken)

+M say Agree. The only condition is they put goodness above all. Meaning, they don't blind themselves by thinking if their children marry from this caste, race, nation, their children will be better off. That being said, children need the input of their parents because they might not see the whole picture when love comes to the picture.

I remember in my freshmen year in high school, There was this Muslim girl I liked- or she said she was Muslim. And I had a crush on this girl.(Take it easy, I was 14 at the time, I didn't know any better, I thought dating was halal so long as you only met your partner to get to know her and not touch each other until marriage.) So I started exercising and putting on cologne every mourning before school to try to impress her. But then I started seeing her flirting with nearly every boy in the 9th grade and soon found out that she dated 3 guys,none of which were even Muslim. Needless to say I stopped loving this girl(I didn't hate her, I just stopped crushing on her) but I was in shock and mind boggled. I knew some Muslim kids that didn't follow Islam very well, but that, that was like seeing someone go to Dunkin Donuts every mourning and hearing them say they're diabetic.

There's nothing wrong with having a crush. It's a natural tendency. I'm young, and I have waaay too many crushes. Since I go to a school where there is only 2 other Muslims out of roughly 600 students, it's hard. I cover and I don't wear makeup but there is still people who are attracted to you and they think I act strange because whenever they approach me and talk to me, I'm quite harsh because I don't want them to develop feelings. Even if I do for them I know that Allah is always watching and All knowing and that He is putting me to a test. He expects me to choose the right path because He expects to see me in Jannah. Our Lord loves His creations. When you make decisions think about whether or not Allah will approve of them. Remember we should be planning for our Hereafter.

I am 21 but never kissed a girl though I liked one. Thanks to Allah it did not work out because nowadays I would have feel sorry for myself if I was in that relationship. Anyways the point is I never kissed a girl or went to night club and I am happy to admit that to my friends to everyone. My friends invited me for alcohol but I refused here's why first thing is Allah created you. You're value is not as a human but the creation of Allah. If you do stuffs like you're value drops(You become shytans puppet). I believe that you should really admit that you have not went to night club or kissed a girl before and you should be happy about that because among you're friend at least someone is different that is you. Be happy about it don't be sad when you are in the right path be sad when you are in the wrong path(and please repent to Allah, Allah will forgive because Allah is merciful and kind). P.S:Stay away from Zina please it's a humble request if you see this reply.

A hadith narrated by Abu Huraira, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ ) said, “Whoever says, Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi (Glory and praise is to Allah) one hundred times a day, will have all of their sins forgiven, even if they were as much as the foam of the sea. (Bukhari) Abu Hurairah also reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who utters a hundred times in a day these words: La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli sha'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),' he will have a reward equivalent to that of freeing ten slaves, a hundred good deeds will be recorded to his credit, hundred of his sins will be forgiven, and he will be safeguarded against the devil on that day till the evening; and no one will exceed him in doing more excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more often than him. [Al- Bukhari and Muslim].
