He is leaving out that the plane ride to Canada was a family trip that included both parents. I have worked with children and I know how divorce impacts their heart, mind, and spirit especially when a memory reminds them that their family is dismantled. There is NOT any amount of money or profit that will make it morally okay to cause further injuries to the children's precious souls. The book focus on Martell and the children taking a family trip. In reality, Martell knows that trip to Canada was a family trip which included their Mom. The book will only serve as constant reminder to the children of the family that they are mourning. These precious children need to heal and NOT have the blows and impact of the divorce integrated into their lives. Believe it or not, kids pretend well to just to make their parents happy. If the book was about an experience that only involved he and the children in real life, I would understand. However in this case, This book is about a real life memory that included the entire family vacation, and yet they have to leave out their Mom. No amount of money in the world is worth causing children more inflicted pain while their mourning the loss of a family that they desperately hoped for.

I totally agree, if he really wanted the kids at the book signing don’t you think he should’ve gave her more than a two day notices. Melody did right and took the kids with her they probably stay at a family member house and played with some relatives they haven’t seen in a long time. Martell needed to be taught that lesson always have events on your time.

Let me tell you… I work as a school nurse and not knowing what parent to call when they are sick because it’s their week and/or the other parent gets mad because they weren’t called…it’s a mess!

I feel you, if you think that’s something, me and my ex husband did every other day. We did live 5 minutes from each other though. My son said he had enough of switching up at age 15, and just decided to stay with me. He’s 19 now.

I agree. Speaking from experience it really does cause more harm than good. We did yhe week on week off with my oldest son and if I had to do it again, I definitely wouldn't do it again...each household has different rules, routines, etc. And it is really hard on the kids.
