What a nasty piece of work that old goat of a grandmother is to poor Seunghye. The girl needs to move out, especially after telling her grandmother she'd give up coffee to learn about making the tea and immediately being told she can never be accepted to learn the tea business; it's not for outsiders, non-blood relatives. The old geezer made her unwelcome her entire life and now those words cinched it. She is not allowed to learn to make the tea, nor allowed to fulfill her dream by becoming a barista. In other words, she is only to do as she is ordered. The only thing the old goat will accept is Seunghye's sacrifice and money. The girl needs to immediately look for a place and move out. Seunghye can't win for trying.

I don't understand why Dojin's mother is so against him becoming a pastry chef, when she is in the food industry as well. Eventually, his business would grow and he would become rich so what's her problem?

I don't know whether it's the actors and actresses themselves or the director/producer making them do that, but they have really delayed reactions and are extremely oblivious! For example, previously when Daesil was in the Chicken restaurant and Gyeongtae was there too, anyone would've seen him if they simply looked around or glanced here and there but she didn't until he spoke up and made eye contact! And when Seungjae entered Dojin's cafe, the door made a jingle yet Dojin didn't even twitch! At least look at your customers or smile. For goodness sake, will someone sort it out?

I feel like Seryeong is being like that because there was a time that Mr. Jang said that if she was not his daughter he would love to have Nurse Yum as his daughter. But if I am wrong........then 👌.

Yall know that the reason they made her adopted is because she's gonna end up trying to marry the owner of the pastry cafe and the moms gonna be like noooo not the grandaughter of the lady who put my mother through shit and then when she finds out she's adopted she'll probably be more accepting because she doesnt have her blood.

woah ok so what if Dojin's dad is Seunghye's dad and the reason Dojin's mom was kicked out of the house was because she became pregnant with Daeho's kid. But then it's ok with Seunghye and Dojin to end up together because Seunghye is adopted anyway?... you know if they go that route. just a thought lol

HippHoppMunchkin I have a feeling she was pregnant with Seunghye but Daeho is not her bio dad. When her and her mother were kicked out of the house she didn't seem devastated that she lost her lover, she even made the comment that Daeho liked her, but she didn't seem like she liked him back. She seemed annoyed that her mother was begging to stay and pissed that the grandmother looked down on her. Even if Daeho is the father of her baby she probably never loved him, and was just trying to up her status through him. I also don't think Dojin is her bio son. I bet she married his dad, and that's where she got the money to build her empire.

I think you might be right. A lot of comments seem to be possible, but the emphasis on how much she sacrificed to raise him makes me believe he may be adopted too.

EloiseInParis I think Dojin is Daeho son not Seunghye he stated she wasn't his daughter by blood they had to take her in when she was young but I don't know ho young she was when it happen and if she was Mija child the grandma would've had that.

I don't get it. If it other kind of profession, like being lawyer or something, I know that it will be hard to choose. However, in my hometown, I know doctor that own a successful cafe, he run it near my former university, and he can do both of his dream very well.

Do you seriously think OWNING a cafe is the same as physically being a pastry chef? Does he go there and start baking at 3-4 a.m.? Is he on his feet there all day? Does he do the ingredient ordering? Manage the staff? Handle the money and financial books? Deal with all the leftovers?Clean the kitchen? How could you possible compare the two? That's like saying owning a hospital is the same as being a doctor.
