Been playing just over 2 years.....Have done grade 1 & 4 exams so far....I just started in Grade 6 and absolutely lovin' this classic! Thanks Mike....I always watch your vids to get inspiration for my fils and grooves!

Deserve way more subs! Very helpful to listen to and good to learn new techniques. I’m doing my trinity grade 5 exam on the 3rd of December. After that, should I do the new syllabus for grade 6 or skip to 7?

Thanks! And good luck. I'd say going grade-by-grade is a really good idea, even if you don't take the exam I'd say take a look at Grade 6 material after Grade 5. Cheers!

Hey Mike, as usual great video:) I've decided to play this for a graded performance, (but because it's a bit above my level, I'm fading the song out at around 2:50) do you by any chance have the drumless track for this on you? I've been searching for it everywhere, but I am aware that it must be in one of the Grade 6 audio tracks. If you do have it, could you let me know ASAP please? I would really appreciate it, cheers:)

Hey, I was just looking at the music and it says develop pattern around established grove on repeat, is this kinda just adding little flares of improv in the ,Isco, or is it ok if it stays the same.

Hi Chris, yes so the idea is to develop - ie add a bit more variation and some of your own stuff, on the repeat, which I tried to give an example of here. I'd say you need to follow this musical direction to get the best marks, not just keep it the same. Cheers man!

Should the part at 3:03 be played 1 handed or 2 handed because the sheet doesn’t say it’s a roll?

The crashes? Could be played either way, so long as it sounds good and flows. No sticking written. I personally felt hitting the two different crashes added a nice bit of tonal variety, that's why I played it that way. But not right/wrong to do it either way IMO. Cheers! :)
