I just saw the movie (it premiered a day early at a theatre near me) and let me just say, OH MY GOD IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! I almost cried (I never cry during movies). It was truly amazing!

Andre Williams it still talks about the struggle, it’s helped many people who were in the closet. the author has worked with many lgbtq teens and the director is married to a man so it’s still groundbreaking idk why y’all are trying to make it seem insignificant

Mirza the love interest (blue) is, one of the main characters crushes is bisexual, leah is bisexual, abby isn’t straight and the director who made the movie is gay and married. all of this has been confirmed by the author in the books.

nope because straight characters isn't a thing. But this movie is literally based around LGBTQ stuff which is a certain category. I'd definitely tell this to a person who plays criminal character all the time because then you get labeled with that category and never good for your career.

her doing lgbtq+ stuff is GREAT for her career. love, simon is the start of a new generation of teen love movies & her being a star in one will positively add to her resume.
