Everyone deserves a great love story. But for seventeen-year old Simon Spier it’s a little more complicated: he’s yet to tell his family or friends he’s gay and he doesn’t actually know the identity of the anonymous classmate he’s fallen for online. I watched this movie during a 14 hour plane ride and cried the entire time so I ended up rewatching it 3 more times in those 14 hours. I'm not part of the LGBTQ+ community but this movie connects to everyone no matter who you are. This movie has so many important and inspiring messages that need to have more focus on them. This is just the start to hopefully a society of acceptance and empowering human beings. Thank you to the writers and 20th Century Fox for bring this movie into my and so many other peoples lives.

I watched it on a plane too. I believe the flight was with united airlines and I was crying throughout the movie too. Something about it was really touching, also has a great soundtrack which is very moving

Same!!! I watched it at home 3 times and every time I would ball my eyes out. Not any of the LGBTQ+ but I'm 100% supporter of the community and I am so glad this movie was made. I hope there are many more like this that shows the struggle and reality that this community faces on a daily basis. Also I love the happy ending, as it gives people more confidence to come out themselves

I cried at least 100 times during this movie because it took a toll on me. I am young and figuring myself out. I am a bisexual female. As basic as that may sound, I am. I have no father. I have a family that is accepting, but they haven’t taken me seriously. My dad and grandparents don’t know. And I don’t want them to know. Ever. Dad doesn’t deserve to know. My grandparents are Christian and probably won’t see me as their little angel anymore. Its 2:50 A.M. June 17, 2020 And I have no friends. I am lost. And dont know who the hell I am, and what I want. I am still confused. And I’m sorry. Love, Charlotte edit 2023( I am doing better! Thank you for all the replies wishing me well even though this was a very dramatic comment written by a dramatic preteen. Sexuality is still a confusing topic for me but things have gotten easier. Hey Charlotte, i'm just here to tell you that you are amazing. i don't know you but what i do know is that you deserve the world. people are not okay with us, even our loved ones but we can't always please everyone. There's people out there who are just like you, who relate to you and love you. You will figure yourself out, you will find the amazing people that are out there willing to love you for who you are, we all have our problems, but sooner or later, we all figure life out. It's difficult but you can do it. Even i am confused, I'm just a regular high school student, still closeted, my family probably won't accept me but i know there are others out there who will love me the way I am. there are people for all of us, we just have to wait for them. I hope you have an amazing day because you deserve it.

But I believe that those who love us will eventually accept us as who we are not because of what they want us to be. Be brave and try to open up to those people that you can trust. This is one of the movies I would call a masterpiece. No over the top drama, no fetishizing, no stereotyping... Its one of those films you just have to watch. Every time you watch it it's always gets in your feels. Congratulations to everyone who worked on this movie. Its one for the generations.

This is my absolute favorite movie. I've watched Love, Simon at least four times now, the first time at a sleepover the same night I realized I was bisexual. The third time I watched it was when I came out to my dad. I didn`t plan it. I told him to watch my favorite movie with me and soon enough I was sobbing. I never thought a movie would be so special to me but this one is. It is also so relevant to young people today.

This movie was fantastic. I publicly came out to my friends and family about a month ago, and I watched this the day before to motivate me. When the mom tells Simon he can finally exhale... I felt that. Seriously such a relatable movie! And so touching too. Now I can exhale with my boyfriend, publicly, just like Simon and Blue. :)

This movie made me cry so hard throughout the entire movie. I could relate to his struggles so much. Even though most of the movie feels like a high school cliche, this movie really spoke to me. Especially the part where Simon yells at Martin about how his coming out was HIS thing. I understand that feeling of feeling like you were robbed from your coming-out story. it's a tear-jerker and the actor who plays Simon really spoke to me and his way of acting is I don't know... I just love it. great movie for people struggling with their sexuality, or people struggling with their self-expression in general. I think this movie will forever stick with me, and not because it was so "special". No, it had plenty of cliche unrealistic moments, but because of the feeling of recognition, it gave me and how it made me really feel connected. loved it.

love victor (a spin off show of love simon) is on hulu! its about 30 mins long and for one episode and has 10 episodes, a season 2 is coming soon its about a boy discovering his sexuality and coming to terms with it you should watch it :)

I saw it last night with Tyler Oakley at an early screening!!!! Love Simon is one of the best love stories I've ever seen. I laughed, I cried. It's literally one big emotional rollercoaster ride so brace yourself. EVERYONE needs to go and see it when it "comes out"!!! ❤️

Even if some things of the book changed, I think this is a moment to remember, the book “Simon vs the homosapiens agenda” was one that a really big group of people read even if they weren’t interested in LGBT themes, and now a movie where almost 2 M of persons are excited! I've read the book. I've read its sequel. I've watched the movie, trailers, and clips. I've obsessed over the characters. This movie says a lot about breaking social barriers, raising social awareness and encouraging self-acceptance. Lessons were also evidently presented especially in parts where Martin leaked those messages which took Simon the opportunity to come out by himself readily and bravely and also that part where Simon's family was so open about his sexual orientation. I love everything about this movie; it empowers people to be themselves and confidently get to be who they really are in reality.

Thank you so much for making this film: it inspired me so much to feel open about myself and if you never made this film then I wouldn’t feel the happiest I have ever been in my life. This movie was beyond spectacular. I'm a 15-year-old closeted guy in the LGBTQ+ community and this film has changed my perspective in everything I do on a daily basis. I am forever grateful towards the cast and crew for helping me discover myself through a singular movie. The conflict Simon faces is so relatable, it's almost mesmerizing, and the acting is unparalleled. I would definitely recommend this movie to teenagers struggling with their identity in sexuality, because Love, Simon is undeniably the way to go. Get ready for a heart-warming, emotional journey filled with laughs and tears.
