I wasn't going to watch this because I thought a series about a mermaid would be too silly. Boy was I wrong. Jun Ji Hyun is such a great actress that she completely pulled this off. I had just seen her in My Love From Another Star, and this is a great sequel in her career.

I love Jun Ji Hyun. She has an innocence and sincerity in her acting that no other Korean actress has. You also get the feeling of her inner strength in every situation. This drama is in my Top 5 for sure, and paired with Lee Min Ho is a recipe for success. Beautiful, and tough, while at the same time showing a sensitive side. An inspiration for all women I think.

This drama changed the trajectory of all television I watch. I haven’t followed anything American since falling down the Cdrama & Kdrama rabbit hole.
