Excellent movie. I watched this move in Vidya Theatre in Tambaram (1997) which was full house with a lot of college students and youngsters. The climax had a lot of claps including me . I watched it just now and I have the same good feeling now in 2021 . It is a wonderful movie from Bala Sakaran and Vijay. Hats off to them. This movie can be understood or appreciated only by 90s kids .

The movie is about stalking, Sandhaya makes it clear multiple times that she is not interested in Ganesh, but Ganesh relentlessly pursues her despite all this. The climax technically ends with a message that young people shouldn't stalk, but it still goes to show stalkers through an good light while the victim who is being stalked is shown as the antagonist. In reality people who are stalked face alot of mental torture, but this movie doesn't shed light to that.

@@ahlinad1221 it kind of does. But the heroine shares her perspective with her friend, and not Vijay. I guess that could be improved upon. But if you look at this movie compared to other movies released in 1997, it’s very progressive. It even talks against slut shaming.

I liked this movie when I watched it for the First time and I have watched it many times now. But with a better level of maturity this is a film which glorified Stalking on a girl. Not sure how many boys watched this and started stalking women.
