What a great point you make! It also demonstrates how love, kindness and compassion - not aggression - are very natural between species, once basic needs for nourishment/shelter etc are met. Perhaps if we could apply this principle to humans - making ensuring everyone has their basic needs met for survival and comfort our Number 1 priority - we might find we can all stop fighting each other and live in peace together, sharing this beautiful planet joyfully and generously, like the animals we see here. Just a thought, anyway...

Yes, hope Kikig is in better health. Can't really tell as she is lying down. Even Hairball looks alot thinner despite his long fur. Hope the owner has taken all his lovely cats for a vet's check-up.

Aweee so sweet, the little chicks trust their kitten guide and follow him. They are tired out and all cuddle in ball for nap. Hairball is still my favorite, he snoozed and watched them then went to nap with momma cat ❤.

I think many creatures have this "kindness-gene", or capacity. It's just that a state of nature often does not allow for it to flourish due to the needs of survival. This seems to me to be why it can flourish under the guidance and care of good people.
