The talent is out of the world, but that sound, that F sound they bring every song is just eargasm for days. They have taken the 80s thrash / Power metal sounds, did an autopsy and then built it into one unbelievable, perfectly blended sound for the ages. They are the big 4, Testament, Priest, Maiden, Helloween, with a dab of Dragonforce in one! 🐺🦊 Have not seen this type of talent in a long time, tbh!

There are a lot of bands with great guitarists. There have been few with the luxury of two great guitarists (you know who they are, you've mentioned them a lot). I go all the way back to Allman/Betts and Allman/Clapton, and I’ve never heard another song with two solos that are so great yet so different. This captures perfectly the contrasting styles and personalities of the two guitarists-Midori the extrovert and shredding demon, Miyako the introvert and goddess of blues (who can also shred when she feels like it). I was already hooked on Lovebites, and sold on the dual leads, but this is the song that completely sold me on just how great they are. Really nothing like them, ever.

M & M, Midori ( blonde ) & Miyako, my favorite guitar duo ! Miyako does write alot of music for the band but they have all written music. Miyako is also a World Class Pianist, check out, " Chopin Intro + Swan Song " a song she wrote & arranged. ❤🎙🎸🎹🥁😎👌P.S. The lead singer is Asami & she writes most of the lyrics & the little dynamo on drums is Haruna. The bass player is Miho.

You are on your way to becoming my favourite Lovebites reactor. You know your stuff, you understand the genre. In short you are best placed to appreciate the band for what they are, which is, in my opinion, the best metal band I’ve ever seen….in 62 years. Yes, Miyako (not “i” 🙂) rates Dimeback in her top five favourite guitarists. Brian May is up there, and there is fantastic footage on KZfaq of her playing “Parisienne Walkways” by another of her heroes, the late, great Gary Moore. And she dabbles in concert standard classical piano too. I’m fully expecting you to have an on air heart attack at some stage because Lovebites only do “masterpiece”. Loved this reaction.

Bassist Miho wrote the foundation of "Break The Wall" while Miyako added color to the composition. Miyako wrote the guitar solo in the middle with Gary Moore in mind, whom she identifies with the blues guitar sound. Drummer Haruna called it their most agressive song to date. Born in '72, Bay Area native, and lover of Japanese culture. This band ticks every box imaginable...but don't stop with them; the all-female rock/metal scene from Japan is out-of-control awesome. Also, Haruna on drums for this band is an absolute wrecking machine. 🥰

Thanks for your honest reaction once again 🤘 Wasn't that a real kick ass song so ably written by Miho the metal head. And composed by Miho and Miyako. All the five goddesses shines in this song. I second the suggestions to do "Swan Song" with Chopin's Revolutionary Etude as the prelude. For viewers unfamiliar with him, Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. Enjoyed the reaction. Fellow guitar nerd here. Miyako has an endorsement with Dean, but it doesn't stop her from pulling out a Gibson when the song calls for it. She whips out an Explorer on occasion too. That Les Paul has a blank truss rod cover and flametop Lemonburst finish which would indicate it's a '58 or '59 Custom Shop reissue. Hard to tell under the stage lights, but I'm thinking '59.

It’s Miyako, not Miyaki. But no biggie. The important thing is that you recognize great talent. When I first saw the name Lovebites I thought they might just be a gimmick. But when Miyako played the first solo in Holy War, I said I gotta find out more about this band. Haven’t looked back since.

if it's not overplayed I love to see your enthusiasm on a first listen. Now you are part of the pack of fans. I am also a thrash metal fan. Lovebites has taken the essence of this style of metal and sublimated it to the level of beauty through melodic composition. This band in my opinion surpasses and does justice to the legendary bands that shaped this music. The only thing left to do is to do Lovebites justice by making their existence known.

New subscriber here. I find it difficult not to call this my favorite Lovebites song. That is reserved for The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath from this same concert. Yoy can react to that if you'd like. This concert is easily my all time favorite live performance. I've been to Opeth, Slayer, Exodus, Meshaggah, Metallica, and so many more going back to the early 80's. You put this song up to the top 30 thrash songs. I was born in 1960, and my heart is with thrash/speed/power metal, but I love ALL metal. I have no qualms putting this in my top 10 thrash songs of all time. For me what differentiates Lovebites from pretty much all other bands is how they have been inspired by bands across multiple genres, and they've created their own genre from that inspiration. It's all tied together by elite level musicians, and a singer who defies metal logic by taking an operatic voice and have it fit perfectly. Miyako is the more emotional guitar player, and if you listen to Swan Song with the Chopin opening from this concert, you will really see Miyako shine.

This song is the perfect vehicle to show off the two guitarists' difference in style. And how incredibly well they still work together. Every time Miyako decided to channel Gary Moore, the guitar weeps and we with her... You really can't go wrong with song choices. Holy War for a trash/power metal song, Edge of the world for a more proggy journey, Swan song for some good old riffage with a pocket nuke on drums...We the united for a master class in unison guitar lines...Raise some Hell for a straight hard rock car song - if you don't midn speeding ;-) Whatever you do, go for lives as far as possible since, as you see, they do live at least as well as studio. Avoid Bloodstock, audio is very bad. Five of a kind, Daughters of the Dawn and 2021 one that I can't remember right now.
