I just want to say I am blown away by the reception of this reaction. This might not be a big deal to some but this is the first video that's ever reached 6k views on my channel. "We the united" was the first ever Lovebites song I reacted to as my 5th video and I was blown away by the reception even when I was still learning the reaction/editing process. The wolfpack really came out and supported that video and the wolfpack support has continuously grown since then and I am blown away. I am really glad to have discovered Asami, Fami, Miho, Midori, Miyako, and Haruna. I hope I have been able to do the songs justice with the lyric breakdowns and I appreciate you guys sharing your knowledge of the band and the experiences you've had with their music. I look so forward to doing more Lovebites reactions in the future =)

I really love Fami too. Miho was awesome and was the one responsible for putting this band together. She had the vision and the passion to create the band. But now Fami is the future and she brought a new energy to the band that was needed.

Watching this LIVE without the visual distractions of the MV, I realize just how intricate this song is and how complex it is to perform, and the ladies absolutely killed it ! Midori was in the US and went to a few churches to appreciate gospel music. She liked it and then co-composed this track with some gospel motifs, hence you get a bit of the religious symbolism in the lyrics. This song was recorded and released in the middle of the pandemic and Asami mentioned that it was designed to give hope to a despairing world.

Miyako was 4 or 5 months pregnant when she performed in this concert, which ran to nearly 2 hours. It was recorded during 2021 and was under Covid restrictions. The audience was limited to 50% capacity, had to wear masks, and refrain from shouting or cheering. A couple of recommendations, Frozen Serenade and Edge of the World which showcase the depth of talent in this band. Also Swan Song with the Chopin introduction from Miyako. Thank you for your reaction to one of the best bands I have ever heard in over 50 years as a metal head. 🐺

I am used to seeing the MV, having experienced this live performance this song is on a whole another level of amazing. Their talent on full display, nothing beats Lovebites live. 🤘🐺

Proof that anything they do in studio or in a MV will be done better LIVE, even here where this was a COVID dead venue (less than 50% capacity, social distancing, and no yelling screaming or singing and only clapping allowed). LIVE this is one of the very best elite bands in the world today. The M&M show as always is a clinic and will either inspire or intimidate you as a musician!!!!

The song was written in the hope that people around the world who are suffering from the pandemic and have lost hope for the future will recover as soon as possible, but before performing the song, vocalist Asami confessed to the audience, with tears in her eyes, that they themselves had been mentally trapped, including many discussions about breaking up the band during the year when live performances were difficult to organise.

LOVEBITES - Glory to the World lyrics: Everything around us will fall into dark When you keep on looking into the sadness Nobody in this world may ever be free My hearts will shiver and I can't take deep breath But rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify The dawn will come and bring the light in this world Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me Standing in nowhere and searching for meanings A sleepless night haunting us like a shadow A blur in the future, the fear of unknown There will come a time where we can leave everything behind Breeze are running through the land and endless to the sky Together we will make it through this deep night Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me SOLO: midori / miyako / both And rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify The dawn will come and bring the light and lead us to a new world Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Wherever you go, this world that we breathe together, Nothing more precious ----- lyrics: asami music: midori & Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Glory, Glory To The World 03/10/2021

so many bands in my life have disappointed me live. you get used to the recorded version and usually it's quite a bit better and then in the live they might improvise a bit and change it up and it's just not the same. LOVEBITES is one of the exceptions as they just nail it EVERY time and stay true to the original. doesn't hurt that midori and miyako are the best guitar duo on earth as well

As with all Lovebites songs, what Haruna does on the drums is unique and impressive! Lovebites, all the musicians are incredible... but who makes the concert dates and books locations at Lovebites? They definitely have to work hard to become as professional as the band members already were when the band was founded! A Lovebites concert in a small club in Lindau - you can hardly get any further south in Germany, even on a Tuesday or Wednesday in a working week. Friends from Switzerland and Austria (125 km and 180 km) have a much shorter journey than me, who then travel over 900 km - once lengthwise through the Republic.

I agree 100% nothing against Miho she is awesome but Fami takes them to another level. 🤘🐺
@1970Phoenix3 ай бұрын
I agree, Miho is an excellent finger picking metal bassist. Fami however can do everything Miho could, but also has additional technical skills with her ability to slap. Also, in my opinion, Fami fits better into the band. I realise some fans will strongly disagree with this view, but when I see older videos of Miho head banging away while no one else in the band is, she looked out of place. Again, just my opinion. Fami seems to "fit" better with the overall "feel" of the band.
@johnherman5723 ай бұрын
@@1970Phoenix Miho can also slap, just never did with Lovebites. Check out Chaos Control “The Legacy Within” for an example if you haven’t already
@SomethingToDo3603 ай бұрын
@@johnherman572 “Miho can also slap” You need to put it into proper perspective. It’s not what Miho does best/well, as it’s not her preferred playing style. You cannot make an equivalence to Fami here. Many of us have watched The Legacy Within, but Miho’s solo during it was simply repeating the same pattern. Listen to it carefully. Edit: I believe saying that Fami can do everything Miho can do on bass, and more, is correct. You don’t even have to consider the bass tapping for that either.
@johnherman5723 ай бұрын
@@SomethingToDo360 i agree that it’s not her preferred style. I was just stating the fact that she can slap, albeit probably not at Fami’s level.

Enjoyed your reaction. The MV for this song does bring up some religious imagery. The song is done in a church and during the video images of a young man wearing a crown of thorns and injured palms are shown. If you follow the video, you might make a different interpretation of the song. I am more inclined to interpret these lyrics as a message of hope, like what Asami said.

A good breakdown of the song. For other Japanese bands, I recommend Hagane - Wintry Sky [English lyrics] [Romaji] (CC on) Unlucky Morpheus - Cadaver~Revadac [English lyrics] [Romaji] (CC on) Mary's Blood - Starlight [English lyrics] [Romaji] (CC on) Trident - Cry Out (CC on) Aldious - Spirit Black (Music Video) ※Re-Upload

Cool interpretation. Since there are so many sad things that happen to us, we need to learn to look at reality differently. We need a dose of optimism. As I see it, positive vibes give you Lovebites. I've been positively inspired for some time by Creepy Nuts - Bling-Bang-Bang-Born. It's a little strange, because I don't usually listen to this kind of music. But these gentlemen are screwing with my ears. If you'd like, check out this song by THE FIRST TAKE (it's been popular lately, so I have a sneaking suspicion you've already heard it :))

I think I mightve come across "the first take" today. Not sure if I added them to the list or not but will definitely check them out. There is A LOT of new artists that ill be reacting for the first time coming in the next few weeks. Definitely experimenting with what artists stick or not.

I agree that Fami is a more technical bassist than Miho based on her KZfaq channel, but I haven’t seen Fami do much more than what Miho did while playing with Lovebites(except smile constantly, lol). Just my opinion, but I think Miho was more fun to watch onstage. My opinion may change if Fami will become more animated as she is on her personal KZfaq videos. Regardless of my preference, I still think both bassists are awesome
@SomethingToDo3603 ай бұрын
In Lovebites, Fami is using more than just finger style, as we have already seen her bass slapping, and she is also bass tapping outside of Holy War (M&M playing guitar over the tapping in Holy War doesn’t count for anything), even though the Judgement Day album was mostly finished at the time Fami joined. So she is doing more already. Obviously the next album can properly implement Fami better. Even for the Lovebites audition, she had learn through trial and error the triplet/gallop rhythm for songs like Golden Destination, and yet still won the audition, while others were far more trained in that area. So she seems to be good in general.
