A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician, on the road at age 17 for two years, then went part-time ever since, while holding day careers including chef and spiritual health care while raising a family.
As a producer I've made hundreds of my own songs for media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, performing in International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I mostly abandoned the prog genre in the 90s but have returned to it now with vigour 30 years later. So much prog! My own prog band was rejected by record labels as "too progressive' in the late 80s, so i detoured into grunge, pop and alternative instead (then folk / acoustic fingerstyle guitar and ambient electronic as well). At the end of 2022 I fell into a shoegaze rabbit hole (so you will see lots featured here.)

Please continue to support LOVEBITES. 【From an interview with Asami(Vo) and Fami(Ba) for a magazine project in Japan】 When Covid19 subsided and the audience was able to speak up, Asami thought it would be nice to have a song that everyone could sing, both on stage and in the audience. Asami wanted to use the sound of "river" in the lyrics, but thought it would be strange to use "river" as the chorus. Asami found "deliver" and thought it would be cool if everyone shouted it out instead of just telling what the word means. For many Japanese, pronouncing and hearing the English "r" and "l" is difficult. From there, Asami arrived at "stand and deliver. "Stand and deliver" is a pirate term that apparently means "Leave all your money!" Asami thought that if he wrote the lyrics as they were, it would be a song about a "pirate king. Asami wanted to avoid that. Asami learned that "deliver" can also mean "to carry out" or "to be free" in addition to "to deliver. Asami uses "Stand and deliver" with the following interpretation and meaning. Stand up and be free! Rise up and be free! Arise and be free! Let's get up and be free! From there, Asami put the following thoughts into the lyrics. Nothing satisfies me. It's boring to be like this every day! Let's go more bouncy! Let's be bold and do something different! Let's break out of our shell! P.S. The mic stand setting that Miyako(G-Piano-Black hair) used was too high for Asami(Vo).

Now you have met the new bassist, Fami. She joined last Oct. This is the second single from the new album, Judgement Day, which was recently released. The 1st single is the title track. Yeah this song will make you feel better, even without the music, just seeing them having fun. But the song kicks butt too. Might be time for an appointment with the eye doctor, lol, if you can't see even with your glasses on.

If you crossed Iron Maiden with Judas Priest, changed all members into hot Japanese women and then increased their musicianship by about 20%, you would then have Lovebites.

Nice outro by the way... Iron Maiden and Judas Priest I would agree in fact I got a Priest British steel feel. There were two others that popped into my Motorhead and Girlschool ( all women's band from 1979 and still touring)

Hello! A very fresh album by Nuclear Daisies, shoegaze to a greater extent. Please listen, if you like it, make a reaction. But, of course, it would be very cool to see the first reaction without listening. This is the album that, from the very beginning, tells you: - "Come with me." and extends his hand to you. You take your hand and say: "Are we going already? I can't feel my body." He: - "We are flying." =))) The last album this year that I listened to 100 times was Heaven or Las Vegas - Cocteau Twins. And now, Nuclear Daisies are flying with him by the hand.

Haruna, the drummer, is the remaining original founder of the band. Fami, the bassist, is the replacement for Miho (the other founder of the band). Fami has been kicking butt from her audition. And she's done excellently. Returning to Haruna for a moment, I honestly believe that little girl could out-kick an Ostrich. Now, Midori (blond) and Miyako (black hair), the two guitarists seem to trade off the lead. But from what I have read, Miyako does a lot if not most of the arrangements and composition. Asami is the lyricist and lead vocals, although I believe they all sing. I'm waiting for them to put a mic on Haruna, but I haven't seen it yet. Two other groups that will get your blood pumping: Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin; the ladies in these two groups are crazy good and the latter is pronounced kinda like (gotcha rick) I describe as "Energy Personified". Pretty much anything they do is a great place to start. GS has been around for a few years, nearly a decade now. The original vocalist suffered from a medical problem that affected her breathing and passed away in 2015 (from what I have been able to find, and that's not easy) but they have stepped up at each instance. Angelina (Angie) looks enough like Arrmy (pronounced Ah-mee) the original singer, to be related (sisters?), and she has a powerful voice. All the girls sing, but three of them, at my last count, also did growls (Hana (2nd guitar and drummer +), Koga (bassist, vocals, and spokesperson), and Oreo (keyboards, vocals, dancer, recently cut her blond hair short ). These girls sing, play, and run around the stage like their hair is on fire. I strongly recommend their LIVE performances over videos, but "Onset" might be a good starting point, this is Angie's introduction video.
