Excellent reaction. Yes, they've toured with Dragonforce recently. There are videos floating around where they take the stage together. Don't forget Dave Murray and Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden. These ladies list Iron Maiden as one of their main influences.

Great reaction. There's only one point that I'd take you up on however. You rightly praise the pocket Haruna on drums.... 4ft 9" of minituarised power. I also agree with you on Asami's vocals.... not only a phemonenal singer but gloriously over the top theatrically.... a consummate performer! Everybody remarks also on the outstanding virtuosity of the two lead guitarists Midori and Miyako. The one person who is nearly always overlooked, however is the bassist... Miho. She is the real core and heartbeat of this band and her thunderous and technically inticate bass lines are the glue that holds all the medness together. Miho was the original founder of the band when she asked her old band mate, Haruna, from Destrose to join her in the new project. She is really the band leader and one of the major song writers yet she rarely gets any credit from reactors.

About the "destinies align" concept, it's rather simple: it's about their own five destinies and the strenght they have when their destinies align. And that's why their latest (amazing) album is named "electric Pentagram" - a pentagram has five branch. Miyako (the Dean one) is their keyboardist too (she's been clasically trained since childhood). Sometimes she plays some parts on stage - and sometimes one hand on guitar and one on keyboard ...

when trying to describe Lovebites... i tell people if you like Maiden.... your gonna love Lovebites....

I've said that before that listening to Lovebites is like being in the driver's seat of an 18 wheeler heading down a mountain with no brakes. Haruna, the drummer, is 4'9" (145 cm) tall but she plays the drums like an 800 pound gorilla on speed. She is one of the very best drummers in the world at this moment in time. That star cymbal is actually a little spinner that she smacks with her stick every now and then. You'll see it right at the beginning of "Shadowmaker" when you react to that one.

Hi. I am Japanese. The meaning of lyrics is about the situation and resolution of those 5 samurai warriors. They fought a war, and they failed to win once . Those 5 samurais are survivors. And the commander of them i(=the vocalist ) is making a speech in front of them to make a resolution for the final battle , believing they will be able to get a breakthrough . Now their destinies have been aligned .

First of all, I just subscribed to your channel. Awesome reaction to one of the most awesome metal band of the era and decade. All of their songs are in English except for one. Miyako and Midori are two of the greatest duo in these times. I am a huge fan of Lovebites and already have their collection of albums and EP's they are all epic. Cool thing is all lyrics are in English just her accent makes it hard to understand sometimes. Great band, and the guitarist do those solos all the time. The bass player actually put this band together. Don't know if she is like "the leader" or not. But as a drummer , you can't mess up or everything falls apart. (Facts). I don't know Dragonforce's music but Lovebites did a tour with Dragonforce in the UK last year. The twin guitar solos has been a feature of the music since they started in 2016. The drummer is a human dynamo. Don't forget the bass player Miho. Saw them when they first came over in 2017, bought everything they have released. Check out their albums and EPs released on JPU records in the UK. Not a dud track on any of them.

Lovebites and Dragonforce be friends

n June 2018 the all-female band won the Best New Band award at the Golden Gods Awards held by the UK music magazine Metal Hammer, being the very first Japanese band to pull this off.

Miyako and Midori are up there with Tipton and Downing from Judas Priest or Adrian Smith and Dave Murray from Iron Maiden. And Haruna is just about the fastest drummer - male or female - in a metal band ANYWHERE. Priest, Maiden and Metallica are their biggest influences.

Japan is doing it again, Lovebites is redefining metal guitar, congrats to Dragon Force the guts to follow them in concert. Found them about 2 months ago. Right now Japan has provided to us old rockers 3 awesome bands with high level technical skills and professionals. I'm sure there are more to come. Jamie in Asia the arts are still taught and respected. Art such painting/drawing, music, singing are normal curriculum. Kids are noticed at an early age and are encouraged to continue in these skills. A common fact is in the bio's is that all the bands members were playing an instrument at an early 6 yo. Singer has an opera trained voice which is sometimes affects the diction same as it does with western singers. these girls are influenced by old school metal like Judas Priest and Bruce Dickinson's band with all his histrionic vocals style. like Band Maid , they are becoming more known OS than in Japan, its the old adage .... From what I gather (correct me if I am wrong), the song is about their desire to resurrect the metal/hard rock music to new highs. They are calling the troops to fight to bring the metal music to the new highs, and that they will keep at it til the end. They are putting the stamp on that that's what they are and they are going to fight on. Listen to the lyrics again.

In one interview, they said that the song is a love song to old heavy metal, and their destinies coming together to help save Metal from darkness and obscurity. None of them can do it alone, but together they have a chance. Is it a grandiose vision? Of course. But why not? If anyone is qualified, it's these young women. Oh, and a shout-out to Miho the bassist. As with any great band, the back line is essential, and Miho and Haruna are insane. I would say they and the back-line from Band-Maid are among the best in the world.

Good reaction. I have been following Lovebites for a little over a year. They are awesome. They lead me to Band-Maid who are also awesome. Lovebites = Princesses. Prim, proper and professional. Band-Maid = Hooligans. I mean this in the most loving of terms because it is fun to watch their live videos. Pigeon (Miku) also has a great personality casting her spells on the audience. Jamie is discovering Japanese girls' rock. There are so many different all girl bands in Japan of every different sub-genre of rock/metal that you can imagine. It's so strange that all girl bands have never been that common in the West.

The amount of amazing talented japenese girl metal/Hard Rock band currently is incredible (lol... I wrote it before I came to that point in your clip;) .Lovebite is great and I'm looking forward to see them live someday post-corona. I have to say: "I told you so" in your Band Maid - Domination reaction :) They actually have a ballad Epilogue which is one of the best I've heard and ranks with G'n'R and Scorpions. To me it is 1. Scandal - have their own label, various genres and all 5 do arrangement, lyrics and sing; 2. Band Maid - best hard rock group out there now; 3. Lovebites - best power metal group. I personally love Miyako style - the Dean guitar girl and she plays keyboards too and provides pretty good backing vocals. The underrated member is Miho - Bass player who is also the one who had the idea of forming a power metal group and enlisted the energizer bunny drummer Haruna and the rest is history. Midori is also a beast on guitar. Asami, the vocalist, was a R'n'B singer and sings in English, but her pronunciation and singing technique make it hard to understand. Though I find many power metal singers hard to understand. You should check the rest of the groups I mentioned. Keep up the good work!

Lovebites are actually quite well known in the UK. They target an international audience more than a lot of other Japanese bands. Also the lyrics are completely in English. Listen a bit more closely and I'm sure you'll understand Asami even though her pronounciation is a bit weird. "What is it with all the japanese talent?" Well, actually 'talent' is the wrong word for what you mean. Of course talent is needed to become outstanding but the word is much overused when people should actually talk about "SKILL". Talent alone does not make you great at what you do. A talent basis and hard work forms skill and that is what will take you there. The japanese have a deeply ingrained tradition of being hard workers and that is why a high percentage of them keep working at the stuff they started and actually become very good at it.

Great song and band, worth catching live if you get the chance, I've seen them a number of times over the last few years and they've always been great fun! If you want some more epic metal I'd suggest REASON by SYU from GALNERYUS (GUEST VOCAL : Fuki). If you want to try something which isn't traditional metal or hard-rock I'd suggest a band called DOLL$BOXX, another project of the vocalist Fuki from the above suggestion. It's more of a mash up of pop/metal/electro and even some funky bass in there, but very interesting if you don't mind that sort of genre blending. A good starting track (and a funny video) is TAKE MY CHANCE if you want to try something a little different from standard hard-rock or metal styles.

I don't why some people who do reaction videos DON'T pause during the play but some do. You do. To me, it's maddening. It ruins the experience for me. It's almost like stopping in the middle of an orgasm. So frustrating. There must be a reason. Some reactors never stop.
