All of that is based pretty much in the west side of LA. Those kinds of people are who create this LA stereotype. However, many of the other parts have a rich mix of cultures and people who are real. loved this q and a. honestly im scared of every school I go to, because in my high school, I've known some people since elementary school or middle school, and I know who are the good people and who are the bad, I know who's in the band or who's taking art etc. and I know my friends care. in college I wouldn't know people's background or grades or interests, and sometimes i am inclined to make friends with the totally wrong people.

i struggled with friends in high school with people using me and stuff and now i find it hard to trust people and make new friends. i live in LA and though yes those people exist, you WILL find your place! trust me (: there's so many different "types" of people here. you are so genuine and your lovely personality will attract people just like you

HEY GIRL. I moved to LA a year ago to go to college as well. I'm from the east coast so i'm 3000 miles away from my friends and family. i came out here knowing absolutely NOBODY and taking a huge risk to hopefully start my career. It's the best decision i've ever made and i'm so happy i came out here. Yes, LA people can be fake, but not all of them! Just some advice though, try and get together with some people who aren't from LA and never grew up there. From personal experience, there's just a different and better vibe going on. Don't worry about fake L.A. people! You can spot them from a mile away and avoid them but there are also many positive minded and genuine people over here!
