alright... this might be my favorite music video of all time

it’s like the instrumentals are telling us a story at the start, the whole song takes us through an emotional rollercoaster. but im not complaining this song is SO GOOD!

The art style is amazing, the song is amazing, this whole thing is more than amazing!

2:32 I love how the song finally picks up here. After teasing us at the start before fading into a morose melody, its finally able to break free. The singing finally lets out his emotions, realizes that they weren't meant to be, and through it all can finally return to happiness, the instrumental reflecting that acceptance!

i love the way you guys lovejoy-tified this song, i mean you can hear the "lovejoy style" in this especially when you compare it to the original, i absolutely love this song thanks for all of the amazing tracks we got this year

I love how the instrumentals go from blaring to slow and sad, the lyrics punctuated clearly before it becomes blaring and angry at the end. The animation and vibe is also amazing. Well done on this.

The ending is so sweet but sad 😭this is beautifully made and I love how Ash Is drawn LMFAO. I heavily relate to this song and this whole video made it seem like I'm not alone. The breakdown at the end is so cool. And the way it depicts how a guy loved this girl and she wasn't interested enough to keep their relationship (or friendship) going and she felt the need to cheat (lie etc.) This video really ties that all together. The line "for each correctly used apostrophe I could feel my heart sink inside my chest in front of me" has to be my favorite line from this song. It can be interpreted in so many ways but I think the main two I think of Is the girl writing a letter to the guy she liked, and It was so well-written that it showed her "love interest" that she really put effort into that letter and that showed how much she cared for the other guy and not him. The other is that she is sending a message to her love interest (the one she is cheating on) and it's so well typed as well and it makes him feel almost stupid? like shes trying to show him how smart she is. ANYWAYS ive typed too much LMAO but overall I love this song. I think it fits Wilbur's voice SO incredibly well. And I'm glad they covered this song and I like how each version can have different meanings bc of the tone, the way the lyrics are portrayed, etc. Of course all I said is what I interpreted this song to be, You can interpret this however you want. :]

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the genuine quality that has clearly gone into this? The vocals, the instrumentals, the animation and the fact that los campesinos is gaining the popularity they deserve.... 10/10

According to Los campesinos! This song was about how one of the band members Gareth met a person at an event and they started talking about the t-shirt he had on. It was only at the end of the week he found out she had a boyfriend, so he was heartbroken. He finds out her boyfriend also likes the same band because in the photo they are together wearing the same t-shirt. I know this music video doesn’t actually show any of this but it does have the components. The start when he met her, the middle where he reflects and is heartbroken, and the end when he gets mad because he got feelings for someone who just liked the same band, and nothing else

every single part of this music video is so well.. made? done? It's absolutely perfect that i dont know how to describe it. the music, the vocals, the all the way to the animation, a masterpiece!! kudos to the band and Anni ofcourse⭐

Will did an amazing job on the vocals, My personal favourite is the part where he sings "you're the b-side" its a great addition. The music is just- ah dont ask. its just lovely throughout, especially the starting.Your music is the kind of music i see and go "yup thats lovejoy, my favourite band", and im sure thats a lot of other people as well. I hope the ones that got scrapped, are released, better and more amazing than they already were, Keep it up lovejoy!!! (Also I’m not comparing both the bands, both of them are incredible) and also anni did an AMAZING job on the video.

I love how in the beginning the instrumental part is blaring and then it changes to more slow and ends up being so calming... Overall the song is amazing and well done! The band has made it so far and to be honest you guys are the reason I got into music and now I'm a percussionist in my band! Thank you so much for inspiring me and amazing job with the song!!

There's a few unnoticeable details in both the video (animation) and LoveJoy's cover of the song. In the video, it portrays an experience of one of Los Camp's members which lead to the making of this song. (See the explanation of Knee Deep at ATP by Los Camp on Genius). Another is the part where Wilbur sings "Is 'You're the B-side'." If you have heard the original, it is different from the way Wilbur says/sings it: it is prolonged or like a record player scratching. This is possibly a subtle reference of like scratching or backturning a record (I don't know much about D-jying). But yeah, these details make this song more meaningful.

The art and the story in this video is adorable, I love it. And I'm obsessed with the way you guys made this song kind of your own style. (Also, the high note at "B-Side" is sooo good!)
