This is why Nubsib is the best lead I have ever seen. He clearly adores and respects Gene. He knows Gene is drunk and wanting to do it but he stops bcoz he doesn't want him to regret it. A clear conscience 👏 kudos to the writers for creating a gem of a character.

Loved to see Nubsib not taking advantage of drunk Gene, we can see that he likes him but most important, he respects him. If it was another series we know that that scene could have ended at least with a kiss but Lovely Writer said consent is the key and I applaud them for that!

Gene seems so starved for attention and physical closeness. I'm glad that Nubsib treats him gentle and handled the situation in a way that didn't make Gene feel awkward. Gene's so inexperienced, and he ended up roleplaying these forceful characters that his editor keeps pestering him to write. Nubsib can hopefully help Gene explore what HE wants. It was a beautiful, complicated scene and I loved it! Both actors gave their A-game!

Consent 👏 Someone can’t give consent when they’re drunk and I love the series for acknowledging this. Like Nubsib stroking Gene’s hair and just hugging him (at the request of Gene) was one thousand times more romantic than any sort of rushed “intimate” scene.

nubsib I'm so sorry if I ever doubted you, NEVER AGAIN can we please normalize characters looking for consent before doing things like that? the fact that when I watched that scene for the first time I almost cry because I didn't expect all that (hugs included) terrifies me, it should be the norm, companies shouldn't profit with lgbt while giving us horrible representation and normalizing sexual harassment and abuse

Absolutely. Korn and Nubsib couldn't be more different from each other. It indicates to me 2 things 1) Kao really invests time to understand the character he is trying to portray and 2) He takes direction very well. He has a humble spirit. Because obviously the directors tell him to act in a certain way as well. He LISTENS. Obedience.

Probably one of the sweetest and romantic scene in the BL series I have seen. I really like how this serie is challenging the "stereotypes" that have been selling us toxic relationships. Huge applause to the scripter, director and whole crew of the serie. Thank you for doing something that was needed for a long time. Emotional intelligence, sexual education and respect is what the world need more than ever. I hope other series start to follow this example. Bravo.

Tum couldn’t have said it better 👏 not everyone wants to tell all, coming out takes time, and it’s his choice to come out or not! I understand the frustration some friends may have or even the hurt, but the only thing in these situations to do is wait and be patient or you may even lose a friend.

Kudos for Nubsib! He loves Gene so genuinely and respects him. When you are drunk, you don't give actual consent. Nubsib didn't taking advantage of Gene being drunk and made him comfortable instead.

It's different if you had already watch history 4 😭😭. The story is different, if I'm not wrong in history 4 the second lead is drunk and their have some of bed scene ( nor respect on that scene ). But I like history 4 too. That's bl Taiwan btw.

Why do we have to have those scenes it’s 2021 come on everyone like a good bl and will watch it with or without kissing or sex but I am not watching a bl that puts in -ape and no consent given as a drunk night out . Lovely writer is the best show at the moment that proves consent is right . Being taken of advantage is wrong . Love the comments on this topic and love the show . This part is personally my most fave. I don't know but I really impressed with the way Up portraying drunk Gene. He really delivered the feels well. There are so many drunk scenes in other series but tbh this one is the only one which captured my heart. I really like the cuteness Gene share while he's drunk. Not mention the pretty blushed on his cheeks. That's so on point and successfully makes everything cute, plus there's the sweetness from our lover boy- Nubsib which makes all things happened here not so wasted but instead impressive. Well I've rewatch this part only for many times lmao.

12:13 "sólo quiero esperar hasta que estemos más listos" Esa frase me dejó llorando y aún no dejo de verla, simplemente es hermoso como en este bl muestran lo que en realidad pasa, con conversaciones reales, sin exagerar en el drama. Dan casos de la vida real y muestran lo que es el consentimiento, lo cual, en muchos otros bl, no existe. Lovely writer es lo mejor que me he visto, los besos son normales, dan especial atención al desarrollo de los personajes como persona y problemas de la vida real. Envés de ir por el rating directamente que son las escenas de cama y etc... Supieron como hacer para que todo se viera natural y que atrajera la suficiente atención. Simplemente lo mejor he visto. ¡Muchas gracias por todo! Realmente espero una segunda temporada ❤️😭

In many series we see drunken endeavours. Here, consent plays a huge role and we shouldn't be praising it cuz Sib was being a gentleman and a decent human being, but bl series have lowered our expectations so this is like.. Huge. Sib likes Gene and wants him so bad. But when he did get the opportunity, Gene even offered, he declined cuz he didn't want to start a relationship where one was drunk. Whatever manipulative things Sib does, this shows that what he feels for Gene is more than just an animalistic hunger? He really does care and love him. That "it's ok to be confused". Be still my beating heart. I'm glad they didn't go with the novel for this bit. This scene is just so pure and full of love and adoration.

I've lost count on how many times I have rewatched that scene and it's bts. Still crying everytime because it's soooo beautiful and a prove that Nubsib wasn't as bad as people believe he is. He was gentle with drunk Gene the whole time. He pushed Gene's face when they were on the floor, he didn't hug Gene before Gene asked him to and the fuckin cherry on top of all this sweetness? HE DIDN'T EVEN BURY HIS FACE ON GENE'S HAIR WHEN GENE CURLED TO HIS CHEST!!!! My boy looked like he was holding his breath the whole time. Gene is someone precious to Nubsib and it's crystal clear on this episode 😭🖤🤍 So yeah, let's stop comparing Nubsib to Kengkla. He doesn't deserve that disrespect.

Nubsib could've accepted Gene's advances cause even though he was drunk it would've been consensual, yet he chose to protect him from something he might potentially regret later. That's how much he respects the person he likes👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The fact that Nubsib didn't make a move on Gene when he was drunk shows how much he loves and respects Gene as a human. He doesn't act selfishly, instead he makes sure Gene is well taken care of. That's sooooo sweet!!

YES! Normalize this as the expected and only acceptable behavior towards someone who is drunk! So happy this series is improving on the novel to make this scene more focused on consent and not taking advantage of Gene's drunkenness and confusion. So here for this!

The fact that they show Tum from LBC get raped and shows Lhong as a bad character whereas they justify the act of Kla, Tul and Tharn by saying it's love like really. I still wonder what Mame (Writer of LBC, TharnType, Breath) was thinking while writing all these novels.

This is officially my most favorite bl scene. They didn’t even freaking kiss and I thought it was the greatest. I really like how this show is going so far and I think the characters are really well done and that this slow unfolding romance is beautiful. Also the respect that Nubsib has for Gene is very nice

Drunk Gene was the cutest human bean ever! The way he called Nubsib (name and to pick him up) was adorable. The car scene was also...Him drunkenly confessing and admiring Sib's looks. Gently caressing him as well as he points out what makes Sib attractive. And then he gets embarrassed and gently shoves him. Maahn.. Sib's face the entire time. Drunk Gene really does lower his walls.

Poor Gene, our guy is lonely and confused and feels like he’s all alone. I can remember those feelings. Also, Nubsib here being a true gentleman and not taking advantage of an intoxicated person. What started out as a fluffy BL series is starting to develop some depth and it’s thoroughly enjoyable.

the amount of respect the characters have towards each other in this series is so beautiful. a best friend who stands up for you? check. a partner who respects you enough to refuse something they want so bad because you might regret it later? check. this shows respect, consent, attraction and confusion beautifully. other series should take notes.

As much as it surprises me that we are so happy for consent in BL dramas, this remains one of my fav scenes from this series. The respect Sib have for Gene just touches my heart. Even though Sib knows that deep down Gene may want something as well (even if he is drunk), but Sib wasn't going to take advantage of that. The love they have for each other makes them one of my top BL couple❤
