Some vocabs I've learned recently from this short story: 1. frazzled = tired in a nervous way after a lot of mental or physical effort 2. frivolous (with) = not taking something seriously 3. turn over a new leaf = start over/ change attitude about something 4. anguish = extreme unhappiness caused by physical or mental suffering 5. niggling = worrying someone or causing them slight pain 6. up for laugh = make jokes 7. chirpy = happy and active 8. subdued = not as happy as usual 9. toll = suffering or damage Words can't express how I appreciate this channel 💛

If I were in the Louise's position, I'd probably do the same. However, It's very hard to change your life so dramatically. If I could have some time off work, I'd travel the world and try to find new opportunities in life.

Recently I was making an internship without earn and I finished because they had me a lot of responsabilities which doesn't belong me. I really like them but I wasn't able to support that. This was a really difficult decission but, in the end, it was the best choice that I could done. That's why, if you don't feel good in the side where you are, go away from there

If I had the opportunity to take the plunge and disconect I would go to Canada to volunteer as a Spanish speaking partner with senior citizens and any person who needed my help. I would also take advantage of my stay there to improve my English speaking abilites as well as my communication skills. I honestly believe I am a people person however in certain circumstances I tend to be introverted and that is something I need to change. I also would take the chance to hop on a tourist train from the east to the west side of Canada, doing a lot of sightseen, spotting some polar bears and soaking up the atmosphere of their cities. I do fancy to see carpets of snow, something we do not have in the tropical part of the globe.

Thank you for watching, Gaby! It's quite hard with C2 level as this is native speaker level - for this, you might be better downloading books from apps like Audible. We sometimes do C2 stories, but we'll usually go from A1- C1.

I think if you have a hobby you even don't need to leave your stresfull job. Hobby very often is refreshening and every morning you can easier come back to your daily job.

If I could take some time I would work in the countryside to do some field-work. I love agriculture and its lifestyle. I would also work as voluntier in a protected area, such as a forest or jungle.

Hello,🌹 DO the medical jobs in your country and scientifically in general, need more advance in education before entering colleague? Or all jobs are the same? Can you answer me please?

Hello Red Rose, It depends on the job. If you want to be a doctor or a nurse or another medical professional you need to study a degree. To get onto a degree course you will need to have at least 3 A-Levels or equivalent. Other routes (working in labs or being a carer or assistant) can include studying an apprenticeship and then working your way up in the sector. Hope this helps 😊

@@redrose4738 If you want to be a teacher, you have to do a university course. Depending on the type of engineer, you could do an apprenticeship or a degree. With regards to the most common job, we couldn’t really say as there are so many options!
