I definitely think Gene is much stronger than ppl give him credit for. I wonder why being an introvert or being awkward around ppl is synonymous with shy or a weak mental state. Gene is a strong person internally that can set boundaries, handle criticisms toward himself(as seen with his editor), stand up for himself, and not be forced to do things even by his friends. Its not a contradiction to be both an introvert and a mentally strong person.

This is such a matured and realistic series. No cringe worthy scenes, no extra side characters who are just casted to give comic relief and all the relationships shown are so realistic specially the Parent children equations. Everyone is talking about Gene's parent but I liked when Sib's father said let the bonsai grow. This has become one of my favorite BLs of all time.

I love that they used tea and a bonsai tree to represent their sons. You don't see it often that they're indirect with their words so this makes everything sound more beautiful and inspirational when you understand the meaning behind those phrases. Another drama to add to the list of my favorites.

Man I'm still sad they didn't include the delete scene where Gene's dad told Gene about his relationship with a man. He was a government official, and mentioned how hard it would had been for him back then to overcome the critics and discrimination from other people and that's why he and his partner parted ways instead of fighting for their love. They deleted it because the scene was already too long, a real shame. I'm still happy with how this all overcome, you could feel the worries of his dad and how relieved he was after making sure his son was ready for all the upcoming conflicts, something he'd had wish he had back then. I love this series so much, the cast is amazing and the relationships every character have with each other are the best 🥺 consent, honesty and comprehension are what we need the most to have healthy relationship (any kind) with other people.

Gene's parents were more emotional, and I cried so much hearing their story and what they had to say I just love how here parents aren't just there to cause a problem, yell and go. They are part of the story, they have their stories, their problems, and characters. I just love how much involved they are. It's written so well

I love the fact that this show brought up such a sensitive topic and showed how difficult it is and plus how the families feel and why they tend to not accept🥺

I can't believe Genes dad got me crying in the club. I'm not a parent, I doubt I'll ever be, but the concerns he has are valid. It doesn't matter if times are different there will always be a group, a faction, a considerable population that will vehemently oppose their love, pervert their relationship and paint it in an unflattering light. It's not easy to give up on someone you love, especially when it's so hard to find the One, and I can't help but think about Teep thinking about his love and how they had to part ways because it was much worse back then. The part where he broke down after telling Run about his feelings and the way she comforted him was really touching, because it shows the trust they have between them and that they must love each other to be able to confide each other this way. And how Teep Must have been hurting this whole time and how Genes coming out touched a spot that never quite stopped hurting. The talk he had with Gene was understandable and came from a place of concern and In a roundabout way, I think it'll be comforting for LGBTQ folk who'll never be able to come out to their parents as well. This show is a gift that keeps on giving.

If everyone have these two kind of parents what a beautiful world it gonna be

Despite everything, Gene's dad was understanding. And it is very good that they put situations that are just as real in life, it makes the series even more interesting. Congratulations to the entire production team.

the stylists worked so well with the matching outfit and colors in these scenes. Like in the last episode at dinner, they all had a outfit theme of black, beige and white. And with the situation now they did a great job with dressing the main couple in wine red and the people supporting them are dressed in violet/ blue colors. Just a well thought and done job!

These directors and writers knew how to create healthy relationships, not only between the main characters, but the parent/son relationship as well. Much credit given to this series, I grow to love even more every time I watch it.

Omg I am so mad at my self for not watching it at first I almost missed this great drama,bc of my fear of it might be toxic it might not intresting bc I don't see lot of people mentioning it when it comes good dramas I hate how they always mention or recommend those with toxic plot, thank god I have watched it finally this drama deserves more attention than many so called top series. The story, the romance, the chemistry, plot twist and turns healthy relationship, comedy, message what doesn't have this drama epic.

To watch as Teep finally processes his past traumas, fears and regrets... it broke me, I couldn’t keep the tears away. It makes me reflect on how much judgment and personal devaluation is inherited by each generation, stemming from the agony and repression their predecessors faced. This one example of a person breaking that cycle, by coming to terms with their own past and choosing not to subject their children to the same pain, is deeply powerful to me. Thank you DeeHup, director, actors and all production team for telling a story with such authenticity and grit.

Well-written and acted all around! Not what I expected from a romantic comedy, but I'm happy for it!

Hombre, todavía estoy triste porque no incluyeron la escena de eliminación en la que el padre de Gene le contó a Gene sobre su relación con un hombre. Era un funcionario del gobierno y mencionó lo difícil que habría sido para él en ese entonces superar las críticas y la discriminación de otras personas y por eso él y su pareja se separaron en lugar de luchar por su amor. Lo borraron porque la escena ya era demasiado larga, una verdadera lástima. Todavía estoy feliz de cómo se superó todo esto, podías sentir las preocupaciones de su padre y lo aliviado que estaba después de asegurarse de que su hijo estuviera listo para todos los conflictos que se avecinaban, algo que hubiera deseado tener en ese entonces. Amo tanto esta serie, el elenco es increíble y las relaciones que cada personaje tiene entre sí son las mejores 🥺 consentimiento

I love how genes dad is not afraid to be vulnerable. He isnt scared to cry infront of his wife, his wife compforting him...we love to see men feeling deep emotions and dealing with them in a kind of healthy way. Sure it was not okay from him to project his concern and fright onto his son but i can appreciate him opening up about it
