Every farm is different and each one provides a unique opportunity. We approach every property as a blank canvas with the potential to create something special. That all begins with the design. In this video, we break down a new property and walk you through, step-by-step, the design and implementation of each element that will transform this into a world-class Whitetail property.

I really like the show because this is the first time I've seen a Brother in the show 👍🏾👍🏾. I know it's not the Hunting shows fault I guess there's not that many Brothers that hunt where these Hunting Shows film there shows. And also these guys really put alot of time building this farms it took a lot of knowledge do it right . They explain step by step what they do and show you how it's done from clearing the land, shaping the land , feeding the land, and growing food plots at certain place and leading the deer where they want them . The show is great you guys are awesome to GOOD JOB ON THE SHOW 👌🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👮🏾‍♂️🚔😁

Very good video breaking down not only the “how”but the “why”. I had a couple questions come to mind after watching. 1. Do you anticipate any issues with cedar apple rust given the proximity of your cedar planting to orchards? Are you selecting apple species resistant to CAR? Are you drilling in switch to the area first and then planting your bare root cedars? 2. What are you planting in your orchards for ground cover? 3. How do you plan to rotate your plantings? Will the corn and beans just flip each year? Will your walking paths be brassica blends each year? If so will you rotate to a summer cover crop between fall planted brassicas? Thanks for another great video and any additional information!

These are great questions - let us break apart the answers for you:

Yes, we drill in switch first. We understand we won't be able to spray/burn/maintain the switch but honestly we like our bedding areas to have browse in them!

I hate to be the guy that dumps several questions but that video was the most inclusive I have seen in roughly 6 years of consuming habitat content. Very well done!

We likely won't rotate our plantings unless we learn an adjustment is needed through deer activity

Do you guys ever have problems with deer eating/rubbing the cedar trees since they are not protected in fencing?

Hi Beau - no issues with the deer eating the cedars here in western Wisconsin

Regarding the rubbing - yes, this is something that we take into consideration as we plant extra trees to account for this. Bucks love rubbing cedar trees!

Nice sponsor advertising video 👍🏼. You lost me when you said planting switchgrass for bedding then I had to give a 👎🏻 when you didn't suggest hinge cutting for bedding or switchgrass for access cover.
