i saw her in Las Vegas, unfortunately no duets but, i was astounded by the rich fullness of her voice and how long she could hold a note with little effort, reach the highs....i was in awe.

well he's NOT a singer like barbra, who's been doing it for 60 years, and then there is the age difference too. having a younger throat and vocal cords does aid in the fact that he sang louder and stronger at times. don't forget that. she's also a legend in our time and i will love her forever!!!!!

He was amazing, had no idea he could sing! But he definitely did not blow her off the stage, you can hear her come right up with him after he started singing, and he's much younger than her. If she was his age singing with him, he would have to keep up with Barbra.

LOVED the dress. and her theatrics are perfect, she was graceful and elegant when needed, and really big when needed.

I would be inclined to agree and I love Barbra... but this song would benefit from stillness... it is not done here in the context of the show really. Fosca is at the end of her tether and when she says she would die for her lover he is thunderstruck and she desperate.... would like to hear it when the sound is cleaned up. But then one has to remember it is concert here ... so am a bit torn... but on balance I think you are right... the dress is not great

she is perfectly barbra

She's performing in a 30,000 seat arena, with people half a mile away in the back bleachers. That's the reason she moves a lot and wears a flouncy dress. If she sat on a stool in a black pant-suit the whole time they'd barely know she was there. You can't criticise her for having what those in the know would call good stage craft.

Even a bigger question? Why would she pick a song to sing with Patrick Wilson where he only sings three or four lines? The guy can sing!

AGREED! They are singing about loving each other and there's so much looking away from each other! I had to listen to Barbara Cook's version after listening to this one.
