Love that turquoise. The bigger pieces are unisex, it is a sign of rank within the tribe. Have a great day

Am really enjoying your videos I’m at a time in my life that I need to deal with some vintage heavy silver cuff with Jadeite? bracelets , pin Navajo ? and ring of my mothers ( possibly 40s early 50s ( have picture where she’s wearing it in 54) Some unmarked some marked Mexico 925. when living in small community in central coast had good/ honest dealings with consignment stores for precious jewelry but now back in the big city don’t feel as secure. I’ve had 2 unpleasant jewelry store dealings about my Diamond rings that I also need to get rid of. My mission is I don’t want to leave for my son to deal with ( his wife doesn’t even wear jewelry let alone these large pieces) . At this point I’m tagging them with notes that they are real etc. any advice?

Hi, thanks! A well established jeweler should offer a reasonable wholesale price for a diamond ring. You may have a very high insurance value for the ring and it's important to keep in mind that a dealer will pay well below that mark. Probably even 50% below or more. They will have to find a buyer for that ring for an amount that is likely 25% lower than current insurance value. My advice would be to take the ring to 3 or 4 locations and then accept the highest bid. You could also consign them to a reputable auction house or try taking on the sale yourself. (Ebay or Facebook marketplace) the silver jewelry will have to be very nice to sell for above melt value (raw silver value). Again, your bulk buyer will need to make about a 25% margin. Note Native American jewelry is very popular and the the right artisan can bring hundreds or even a few thousand dollars. Mexican jewelry is also collectible though not typically as expensive as NA jewelry, unless it's a well known Taxco artisan. (Pineda, Spratling, Margot, etc...) You're welcome to send me pictures and I'll give you my humble, non-professional opinions. letitgotreasures@gmail.com

@@threefortytwo23 thank you so much for your response. I’ve got a lousy light magnifying + old eyes. You are very kind. The mark is either W or H EGNO and I do see similar when googling on lens. I have memories of my mom having on hold pay as you go at a maybe consignment store but she was artist so had arty jewelry at the time. Where I found you on FB I notice the administrator said to take good pictures and I take terrible with a good phone but will send you ones I have on my phone. Thank you again for your offer to take a look. I’ve just given old coins that my late husband had to my 5 year old grandson who seems like he’s interested. I have over 60+ prints and etchings I must deal with before going to the big dog park in the sky too. That weighs heavy on me. I have managed to sell studio art glass by well known glass artists on eBay. Off I go to look on phone.
