The low FODMAP diet can be used to manage IBS, SIBO, or occasionally IBD. But, even within those conditions, not every symptom responds well to this diet. It is well documented that low FODMAP reduces abdominal pain and bloating, but there is far less evidence to support its use in constipation or IMO. So, what does this mean? Should you ditch the low FODMAP diet if you struggle with constipation or methane/IMO..?
