The reason Mel doesn't like the bag is because instinctively she knows it won't suit her. You must be tall and slim to carry it off, or you can end up looking exactly that. Not so tall and slim won't work either. I don't mind that bag but my problem is I don't like clutches. Oh and don't mention the cost...lol.

The YSL Joan bag looks like a dupe OF a kmart bag. Kmart used to have (or might still have) a very similar version to it AGES ago (which honestly was a bit nicer ironically). If I didnt know that the Joan was YSL I would honestly think it was kmart

Mel in Melbourne after taking a look through my closet (I really need to organize), I think my other favorite is my mini Fendi Peekaboo in black lambskin. The leather is SO soft, and without the protective monogram cover, is quite understated.

Hey Mel, do you like some of the newer Louis Vuitton bags that have a wide canvas strap? I like them, I think they look pretty cool and modern and then it would also depend on what bag it’s on. I would agree with you on the On The Go bag in that color combination red white and black, I do not like it at all. I also don’t like that large size. But I do like the reverse monogram like you said, but smaller. 👍🏻

Hello Mel, I agree with most of your picks, except your statement about chloe bags. I own the Marcie in medium size and I think it is the most beautiful and functional hobo bag on the market (the Paddington is extremely ugly btw). Your new Bottega Veneta bag is nice, but I would prefer a bigger version for practical reasons. Mini bags are not my cup of tea.

I agree with chloe bags. I do own one but it is the smallest mini chloe c bag in black which since its so small with just a c in the middle o get away with it. I was visiting family in new New york city during the Barneys ny going out of business liquidation sale. Original price was 1500 usd and i ended up getting it for 480 so was worth picking it up.

I love the small Loulou velour leather, brown with a rope stitched logo, am totally over the moon with this bag and I hope to get it soon. Does anyone know and love this version, too? Mel?

Yes I’ve seen it! I love the rope detail. I think the most important thing is that YOU love it. Some people will just not buy suede or velvet bags but personally I’m looking for a suede bag. You prob do need to take a bit more care, it wouldn’t be an everyday bag but I love the texture. Also I’m seeing a lot more brown bags come out. I don’t see the loulou bag as a shape going anywhere anytime soon xx

Hi mel!! Spot on about the LV Crafty collection and it is way too loud on On The Go, definitely difficult to match. I have the Hermes Herbag Cabas, but do be careful of the type of canvas. I did a video on my Herbag regret... 🙄 keep in touch! Great discussion Mel!

I'd say celine and salvatore ferragamo are amazing low key luxury bags. The only thing is that they don't have a gd resale value so you have to think wisely and figure out which bag from them will fit your lifestyle.

Totally vote for Celine box. Sadly cuz the design I can only fit less stuff than a Chanel mini rect. But Celine box is def my go to if i have any company event. Personally I think Celine Box goes well with any outfit, low-key and classic.

I totally agree with you on the bottegga pouch bag ! It’s huge and ugly never really liked it . The Judy is so cute though gonna go and order one right now
