This is another video of a car that it's life was cut short. This car has plenty of life left but it would be hard justifying spending a lot of money getting a bonded title for it. We have plenty of cars to crush right now so I'm going to see what I can do with this one I might be able to save it.

I still drive a 1990 Pontiac 6000LE. It has been a good car for me. I did an extensive refurbishment of it about 10 years ago, with a new motor, shocks, struts, tires, brakes, and radiator, and had MAACO repaint it. It was trouble free for nearly 10 years, and I recently had to put a new head gasket in it and replaced the tires and brakes again. It now has 270,000 miles on it, and still looks great. It is my daily driver, and I take it to work most days of the week (hour commute). Body is still good on it, no rust, just redid the seats. I plan on keeping it for many years to come. It tends to be easy to repair, and parts are generally cheap.

That is cool to see someone still keeping these cars on the road.

Oh wow! I once owned a 87 Pontiac 6000 white with red interior. Watching the video, I'm back in the car again. My elderly neighbor was it's previous owner and traded it for a then new Buick Century at our Sandman Brothers dealership. I hate to say it but that was the worst car I ever owned. It would sit more than be driven. The last time it broke down on the interstate, I was carrying my baby on the interstate and luckily a forest ranger picked us up as in those days I didn't have a cellphone. I knew it was the last straw. The power steering pump kept breaking. Reason was the alternator went bad and the garage didn't put the right fan belt which caused a bind and broke off the power steering pump. That happened a few times before someone figured out why. Anyway the last thing that went out was the fuel pump causing me to walk along the interstate carrying my baby. I told my wife this is it. I had it fixed and we traded it off for a Nissan Quest van and you have no idea how much we loved appreciated the van. We drove that van literally everywhere. Over the years I consider myself fortunate to have kept my good old GM 72 Chevelle. It's a million times better than that Pontiac, but mine was a 4 cylinder. Unsure about the 6. I kept my old reliable Chevy, however every since the Nissan, we have always owned Asian Japanese vehicles and love them. We are now driving Toyota and they are a blessing. My old Chevy, my Gramps bought new in 72. She is musanne blue small block 350. She looks nerdy with a defectashield on the hood and white side walls. She would never have black wall tires in my lifetime. That's when GM made cars to last in my book. Original General Jumbo spare tire still in the trunk. She's been my lifetime most pleaserable car too.

What happened to this poor car? That low of miles and it looks like who ever owned it destroyed everything possible. What a great car these 6000's were back in the day. Somebody would buy that car with its low miles.

Glad you saved it! Are you selling it? If you still have it, I'd love to have that trunk rack. I'm driving distance to you, I'd consider buying the car or the trunk rack. Have a '96 Buick Century (last year of these A-bodies) race car (yes, you read that correctly) that needs to be dolled-up a bit, and it could always use a brother for Rally-Cross.

@@21motors22 That's great, keep that thing as long as you can. My father had a 1989 6000 SE, space gray. He junk it last year after the 3rd transmission blow. I believe the car had about 320,000 miles on it before he sent it to the junk yard. I was sad to see it go. He had it for so long. I ever told him to keep it so it could be my first car. The interior and outside was perfect. No rust on the car at all, considering the car has stayed in Los Angeles all its life. The car just had engine and transmission problems. I'm still kinda of annoyed at him and sad to see it go.
