One thing that is rarely mentionned is that Maria Callas was very careful when she choose to appear on a show. She was not a common "celebrity" you could hire for a few dollars and she did not tour shopping malls to stay in a shady limelight. She knew what was due to her and her last years when she stayed nearly a recluse in her Paris appartment on avenue Georges Mandel she stayed faithful to the legend she had created. Divina Callas....

i have had this clip on video for some time - wishing the quality was better ... also would love to find mike wallace interview in better quality too

I'll bet the phones were unbelievably busy! Once her family came to the US, she probably saw him on TV, or in his execrable movies. Wish I could understand the sound!
