Thanks for this video - so important! I also think men are often just terrified about fatherhood - this can be causing limiting beliefs about their ability to conceive. Head space is key in men too - as it all the info you have shared. ALL is relevant to both men and woman on this journey.... xxx

Hi Dr. Crawford, thank you so much for all of this useful information on this channel and your podcast. I started following you when I started my TTC journey last summer, as I knew I might run into some issues due to short luteal phase. After three months of actively trying I fell pregnant and was put on progesterone (after positive test) due to my short luteal phase, but it turned out to be ectopic and had implanted onto my right ovary. Now, I found one single study from 1995 by Guillaume et al which showed a statistically higher incidence of ectopic pregnancy in women with LPD, but otherwise I couldn't really find anything to support this. Have you in your research and experience come across anything to suggest that LDP may be causal of ectopic pregnancy or tubal dysfunction? And what is the best strategy going forward for someone like me trying to conceive?

Hi Dr. Crawford!! I started following you when Roe v. Wade was overturned, 10 days after my first IVF baby was born. First of all, thank you for spreading your knowledge during that time! Second, my husband did a semen analysis in 2021 which showed low morphology, about 1%. Do you see a lot of natural pregnancies with this? We are thinking about baby #2 and I’m finding myself holding onto hope that it could happen without IVF at some point. Thanks!!

Hi doctor Crawford! Happy new year! I was ovulating on CD 12 but I’ve been taking vitamins and supplements for 3 months and now ovulate on CD14. Would you attribute that to the vitamins(prenatal, omega 3, coq10)? I’m 38 with regular periods and TTC for 2 months with FSH (as of 3 months ago) of 11.3

we know the follicular phase can vary - so this isn't abnormal, but potentially the increase in vitamins is extending your follicular phase a little (we see this shorten with age and increasing FSH, so I would take this as a good sign!) hugs!

We had a sperm result for progresive motility of 3%, all the rest is normal. Any chance to improve motility since it is so low?

My husband's endocrinologist prescribed testosterone for him because his tests showed low testosterone, he never told us it could impact fertility. When we were trying to conceive he did test for low sperm, and this was 4 years after he stop taking it, but luckily we manage to have our girl. He was always bad at remembering to take and end up stopping after a few months, I image what would have happen if he did follow exactly like the doctor prescribed.

What did your husband take to regain fertility

@scal7122 he didn't take anything but changed his habits, changed his diet, started to exercise, and lost weight, then he changed his underwear to more loose ones made of cotton. He also wouldn't wear jeans or anything more tight at home. I used ovulation tests, and we abstained (man can't do it with themselves either) until the test was positive, you don't need to do this the entire month, more like the week your supposedto ovulated, when man have lower spem countit may take longer then other man to replenish it. That way, you have a higher sperm account when you actually need it. After 4 months doing this, I got pregnant, I was also 34 at the time.

decreases motility, concentration and the shape of the sperm (morphology) - we are concerned it increases DNA damage in the sperm and thus the reason we also see increase miscarriage risk in female partners or male MJ users

My husband was put on Clomid when we first trying to get pregnant. I got pregnant within 3 months and then I had miscarriage 2 months later. It's been almost a year to the date and I haven't been able to get pregnant since.

Any new info on having COVID and sperm health? I found on study but it was only 45 men. My husband had COVID last month and we are TTC 😞

I would be interested to hear about this too, we improved the count from 15mil/ml to 69mil/ml in 4 months through lifestyle changes and supplements but it didn't help morphology.😣

weight training, diet high in fruits/veggies and protein, sleep, no alcohol/smoking/MJ, vitaminD and zinc supplements may help, avoid potential estrogen mimics (plastics/BPA, lavender, tee tree oil), be a healthy weight, limit stress

When I was a boy learning to ride a bicycle, I would slip off the saddle and land on the cross bar, this happened to me several times. Can this be a cause of impotence? I never had any problems getting an erection, and seemed to produce plenty of semen, but was never able to father any children.
