@@Skeleton43 I feel like you're making a very odd distinction. All sprinting steps are generally referred to as strides. It doesn't make sense to say a greater % of Bolt's steps are strides than those of other sprinters.

Javelins are especially made NOT to reach 100m, if they reach 100m, they could kill high jumps athletes on the opposite side of the stadium, some techniques do exists (spinning technics), but they are banned because of this

Actualy jan zelezni reached 100m and they needed to make changes on center of gravity of javelin so it would fall down quicker, i think he made 100m with old javelim

Can't compare the Decathlon records because the points given for certain results were different previously as they are now. For example, a 6 ft jump in 1916 had more points than now. Basically, the actual results for the 10 events now would smoke any of the previous pre-1980 winners. Pre-1950s men's results wouldn't even win the women's decathlon. Thus, the total points from previous results are misleading.
