100% Allulose 70% sweetness of sugar should be ESPECIALLY EMPHASIZED, since the others won't caramelize! Thank you💜Mayra, for this perfect recipe. I used to buy our local Lola's Market single servings of flan as a pre-Keto/IF treat, and knew it should be the easiest to 'low carb' after discovering Allulose's caramelizing super powers and also its wonderful trick of acually blocking carb metabolism if used on fruit or whatever! Now if only Allulose manufacturers would stop eulogizing how it can be made from figs, while choosing cheapest gmo corn instead! Stupid FDA regs let them even legally claim it's non-gmo cuz when processed, no proteins remain. Talk about loopholes!

@@mirh16 I only know (and love) this plain one they make in my local Mexican market in Healdsburg California, 70 miles north of San Francisco. It sounds great with cream cheese, too. I would look at regular recipes if you have them, and try to do it that way, but stick to the no carb sweeteners, especially allulose, which caramelizes so nicely. Mayra 'Lo Carb Love' says she's working on her version, so you could wait for that, too. PR is Puerto Rico? I can mostly read, but haven't written in Español enough to even try! I had to look up añadir! That's a pretty important verb to not know! [If you are Puerto Rican, do you or your friends talk much about Supreme Justice Sotomayor? I think she grew up in the Bronx in NYC, but her parents are from PR, and she spoke Español first. I think she's the best (or perhaps least bad?) of them all.]

Try almond milk, coconut milk, or any other but milk, even flax milk or combination of any of those equal to the amount of heavy cream ... coconut cream absolutely works
