鉅細靡遺的觀察，記錄指板的幾何與fret的平整度，盡可能的拆解每個工序並測量，以確保每一步驟的品質都在控制之下。
比方說指板畫粉筆這部份，也許磨到粉筆不見就代表已經磨到位，平整了，但事實真是如此嗎？如何驗證他有平，或是沒有平，記錄數據就起到很重要的輔助做用。磨弦枕也是同樣道理，無論徒手磨還是用輔具夾著磨，都需要再驗證是否平整！

A meticulous observation and recording of the fingerboard's geometry and the fret's flatness are essential. Every step is as deconstructed and measured as much as possible to ensure each step's quality is under control. For example, during the chalking of the fingerboard, one might think that once the chalk is gone, the surface is leveled. But is it really so? How do we verify it is leveled or not? Recording data becomes a crucial aid in this verification. The same principle applies to polishing the nut. Whether polishing by hand or using a jig, it is necessary to verify if it is flat!
