You could see it.. you can see his style of play as a HS kid and how it transitioned in the NBA. He was getting And 1s consistently and his jumper was consistent. Kobe entered the NBA polished and right here shows you why.

i dont think i have a seen a high school player even in recent years this good, because kobe played both ends of the floor. john wall was a good high school player though.

Side note: the commentators talking so much about getting Lacey more involved in the game for Stroudsburg. Word came out later that Lacey had a 102 fever and had been in bed all day sick the previous day with the flu. He played that game while really sick and didn't want to tell anyone. Played through it.

They called him the black mamba, but his real name should have been the black hole. Didn't play team ball at all, 4 guys on him and still not looking to pass. I sure wouldn't have liked playing with a guy that wasn't looking to play team ball.
