This is a drill that I have been doing in my kindergarten classroom to help students who are learning English, with attention issues, visual learners or kids who are struggling to retain letters and sounds. I have learned some ASL and Visual Phonics from my ASL interpreter friends and teachers. The theory is that sign language connects to the part of the brain that generates speech.
