I love that, at some point between 2022 and 2024, Terrans realized once maxed you should stack orbitals. And Toss finally figured out you should mass gateways. It is partially the maps, certainly some of the balance changes but... God it's so great. Never would have thought I'd still be loving this game 14 years after the beta ❤

That liberator play in game 7 was insane. Absolutely nothing showtime could think of to deal with it, just uncertainly bouncing back and forth between wanting to go into gumiho's base and wanting to stop gumiho's army, but ended up just wasting time walking around because he couldn't push into the libs. Felt like his mental was just gone after having given up the 3-1 lead. GG gumiho for hanging in there.

It's not that protoss units are weak, it's that they are slow and also gas and supply expensive! Plus they have the worse vision! Zerg sees everything with creep and terran with the ability to scan anywhere on the map at any time!

Kinda just feelin Guns n Roses for Terran personally. Welcome to the jungle starting up as a swarm of Zerg starts mauling a squad of marines. Almost iconic I would say

Game 5 painfully illustrates why protoss don't win more tournaments. You have solid eco, quick remax potential. You can literally trade your entire army for half of terrans in a very suboptimal engage. But for 10+ min, you screw around and refuse to commit - wasting resources and time until you mess up and terran strong mental lets them make the decisive fight. Instead of taking 90% win probability and just winning, protoss is trying to increase that to 95% with passivity and indecision. Gumiho 100% deserves that win. Most players would have ff'd. It's painful inefficiencies like this that you see way more in top protoss and some terran that you don't see from zerg as much - especially Serral. And that's why zerg wins more even if their race isn't favored balance-wise.
