The ladder might be really messed up right now. I’m in masters at 2715mmr. Not saying I’m bad, but I’m also saying I’ve not played 1v1s since 2013 and I was silver then.

I’ve been looking at profiles of other people in masters. And there is ALOT of people in my boat. High ranking low mmr, maybe because of the flooded player base now that sc2 is free masters isn’t as hard to get into

Lowko also knows about Florencio who plays *every* race.

They can also be instructive. It's why sometimes I watch my own replays and take liberal notes, write down remarks on my (lack of) spawn larva, creep spread, or scouting, and then end with what I think requires the most improvement. Seeing a lower tier make mistakes and realizing how to overcome those mistakes makes improvement more attainable. Professional players are so much better that it can be overwhelming making any improvement to one's play if you only watch them.

Also, every unit in he game is a Bad Boy *except* for Ultralisks, they're Paper Boys.

I mean, it's half the MMR of the pro level, despite still being top ~10%.

Starcraft 2 ranking system is really broken if you think about it. Majority of the players hang out in plat give or take, and bronze and silver are actually really low on players. I dont know why but even I managed to get silver 2 without any trouble with just like 30 apm and one and a half braincell.

@@xnxGrinder I think any ranking system should have a distribution that looks like a bell curve. Most players in the middle, with less and less as you get to either skill extreme. You don't want the majority of players in the lower ranks.

It is pretty crazy that someone can be in Master League or high Diamond, representing the top like 5% to 2% of players, and be awful at this game from a competitive, "win tournaments for money", perspective. I remember being high Diamond and competing in a tournament with a $50 first place prize, losing (badly) in my first matchup, and realizing that being competitively good at StarCraft 2 for a pathetic $50 prize, much less for any real amount of money, involved a skill level that could only be attained by someone dedicating the equivalent of a full time job while taking college classes to the game. I became much more impressed by professional gamers after that experience.

@@daraenmetaknight8148 ahh come on kid took 1st gas at 1 min, second gas at 2.30 which helped him get the the two stargates and start producing from both as soon as it was up and by 4.30 he has less then 50 gas :) Could he have done it better timing yeah probably but we are not all Serra’s and Maru’s and Stat’s here 😂
