Just for you Ranger guys Who own a 520c or 521c that I know of. There is a good void space between your consul and front storage locker. You can save some space in your storage locker by placing your AT module there. You’ll need to remove the shelf side panel. (2 screws in each corner top.) Then remove the black plastic back panel. Plenty of room to mount the AT module. Good access to the cockpit buss bar or your A-1, A-2. & A-3 dash switches. also your wire tube is right there to run wires from the bow. Mount the AT module to cockpit wall (lights up) using 4 Machine screws with washer and Aircraft nuts, placing the washer/aircraft nut on the inside of the mount. Replacing the black plastic panel with 3 - 1/2 drill bit ventilation holes... placed where you can see the light on the module through those holes (good Luck with lining those up.) Don’t forget to run a extra #12 yellow wire to the bow for any fix Navico will come out with in the future.

Just got my AT and Elite FS7 but connecting the yellow wires still does not wake up the module. Connecting yellow to red works but I'd prefer to have the FS unit control the AT module. Also did the latest software update on the FS unit but no change. Has anyone else had this problem?

Do you ever mount the transducer on the gunnel 3/4 of the way back on a 16 foot tiller rather than on the trolling motor?

I see that the Ethernet cable included in the kit is black. Is the common gray Ethernet cable compatible? If so, I have a spare gray cable in place already that I could connect. If the black cable is a "crossover" cable that's different, I need to know. Update: It appears Jason connects the gray Ethernet cable that is common with Lowrance systems. I'm not sure why the kit has a black cable.

Wish more fishermen would demo the HDS7. Some annoying things. Slow processor is noticeably annoying on button delays about every 4th press. SPOTLIGHT, after being disabled in menu, re-enables itself on next start up. Also on multiple chart set up, the top 2 text OPTIONS under SONAR are; SONAR/AFT DEPTH SONAR /DEPTH . If I set up SONAR/DEPTH on first combo chart, then it is no longer available on other combo chart. Only SONAR/AFT DEPTH can be set to appear on multiple combo charts. Not sure what the difference is between them.

Lawrance does not want you to use cable ties since it can damage the inner cables. You should use electrical tape and get rid of the cable ties. Besides that great video.

I was under the impression you don't need the module if you are connecting to a network that has at least 1 HDS Live unit? Is that the case?

I currently have a 3D Structure scan box mounted with an Ethernet cable going from that box to my HDS 12 live on the bow. This box also Ethernet cabled to an HDS 9 Gen 3 on the dash. When hooking up my AT Box, can I run the Ethernet cable from that box into the third open Ethernet port on my 3D Structure Scan Box and feed the signal back through to Both Units?

Changing the transducer angle constantly to change the mode on the unit is a feature I DON'T LIKE! That's a big dealbreaker for me already. Maybe the next future unit when this is gone I'm in.

You guys need to have an actual expert on the phone. Every time I call for some kind of technical support. I get an elderly lady who knows nothing. Very frustrating when the person answering your phones knows less than me. Navico needs to have a technical support per company they own..... Especially when I have to pay full price for my units.
