Today's video is special one, not only because I had to purchase new computer equipment just to edit the 4K footage I recorded, but also because it's been a life long ambition of mine to check out a Lowrider Hop Competition. This continuation of the Van Nuys Cruise Night, a Lowrider Cruise and Car Show on the Blvd in California for lowrider cars including Cadillac Lowriders, Classic Cars, Customized Trucks and other clean Custom Car Builds from various car clubs in the Lowriding Scene on the West Coast of the USA saw lowrider hoppers pull up side by side to battle and have a hopping competition! The classic cars with wire wheels, hydraulic suspension, custom paint jobs and period-correct trim were out on display and there were custom paint jobs, old school Chevy Impalas with Hydraulics, Lowriders hopping and hitting 3 wheel motion. All kinds of Clean Classic Cars were bouncing and showing off their hydraulics at this Lowrider Cruise in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles County. This car meet and classic car cruise was pretty action packed, showcasing classic cars with hydraulics, lowriders cruising and hitting switches, gas hopping, flying the Mexico flag, bumping oldies and having a good time, showing out for the spectators that came to enjoy the California Culture and retro vibes! This Lowrider Cruise was a Car Meet and Lowrider Show with pristine examples of Classics such as the 63 Impala, Chevy Bel Air, Lincoln Continental, Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, Lincoln Town Car, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, El Camino Lowrider, Ford Galaxie, Chevrolet Malibu Wagon, different types of G Body including the Oldsmobile Cutlass and Buick Regal, Chevrolet Caprice Classic, Mercury Grand Marquis, Chevrolet Special Deluxe, a few Classic Lowrider Trucks as well as a range of other vehicles from the 1930s all the way up to the 2000s and beyond!

It was truly an incredible experience to share same pavement as those hoppers! Right on, brother, I appreciate the support! It's a shame the low light 4k is quite grainy, but I'm looking forward to some daylight footage. Keep up the hard work yourself and stay safe, man!

This is LAME sorry to say......WTF happened to actually measuring your bounce with a yardstick for gods sake? How in the hell can these kids determine the winner every Sunday??? Or does it even matter anymore? Corona city park, 1979-80 I was the chubby lil' white girl standing between each pair until "the best one" of the week earned her/his right to lead off the Crown Blvd cruise round and round , where anybody and EVERYBODY from our beloved CIRCLE CITY stopped to watch. Surfers Cowboys, Longhaired Hod Rodders and the rest! Wtf happened get 2 yardsticks tape them together and do it right kids!

lol thanks for sharing that blast from the past!! As far as I know, measuring hop height in inches is for smaller hops and competition shows, this was "street rules" which is the first car to hit the back bumper.
