Super helpful. Thinking of making a leather case for a label maker. Nice to see it’s not too difficult to just shape leather. Though I’ll have to figure out how to make some sort of form that matches the label maker.

his is something I shared with Geordie of Geordie Leather here on KZfaq, 6 days ago and it's to show my appreciation of all of you mentioned in my comment. I want to thank you for sharing your videos. Hi, I want to apologize in advance for what may be a lengthy comment, but it's to express why you've become essential. I've been machining for over 28 yrs and have my own home machine shop. From time to time I get commissioned projects, though I'm not financially reliant on commissioned pieces, it does help if and when I'm in a pinch. Since the covid-19 hit, all of my commissions have quickly dried up, understandably so, but I had nothing to do. My wife being an essential employee for Department of corrections administrations, in my state, she's the only one of both of us working. One can only do so much home projects from the "Honey do" list. In looking up how tooth picks are made, here on KZfaq, (don't laugh, I had nothing to do), I some how ran into leather crafts videos. I binge watched: Low Tide leather, Little King Goods then DieselPunk.ro, which Tony, from the latter channel, had free patterns for leather stitching, I had scrap leather and made a few of his face masks and a few miniature plague doctor's key FOB's to share with my family, Getting my beak wet in the most basic of leather crafts via stitching, first. Then I saw video's on holsters for Leatherman Multi-tools and thought I'd tried my hand at that.Something went amok. Everything went horribly wrong. I'll admit, I didn't have the correct leather tools, so I did what Little King Goods channel suggested, by a cheap leather crafters tool set, from amazon. Soon as it came in. Guys. it still went horribly wrong. AGAIN! then i ran into your channel and followed all of your videos, specially burnishing leather. That's where It went all wrong, for me. When i tell you my edges looked like a persian kitten got into a fight with a steel wool pad, and the steel wool pad was winning, I'm underselling it. I also found that I wanted to improve on the tools that were in the kit I bought. I was thoroughly impressed with what was supplied, but most of the tools could've used some improvements. So I improved on them. I will share videos with all of you, of my tool builds for the leather crafts, along with leather projects I've made, just as soon as I learn to edit videos. Ya' know Guys, I still don't know how toothpicks are made. Again, I apologize for the lengthy comment. Stay safe, friends. And Thank you for the [educationa]l videos you share, you do us amateurs a great service, believe me.

Would this work if you stitched two pieces together so you wouldn't have the rough side showing?
@adamrobertson20484 жыл бұрын
I would maybe try using contact cement as well. problem with stitching is you'll end up having to cut where the stitches are to make things flush like he did at the end

I'm looking at your Amazon link, any chance you can clarify the rivet setter with which one of BuckleGuy's rivet setters you used and how you put it together? (link, video, just replying, anything would help) trying to hook my wife up for Xmas so I don't have to hear her beating the hell out of rivets at night.

You spelled Pyrex wrong... I've seen these "trays" advertised. I don't get it. Funny thing is, they seem to be marketed more to males... Are grown men losing their wallets? Are their keys rolling off the counter? I mean... Is there an actual purpose for these?

@@bantamdude I'm sure you're wrong... I think the entire concept is as moronic as the people who'd buy one. But I'm sure glad you have an opinion on what you think, I'd like.
