From the Laughing Place Archives, it's a full show of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - Play It!" at Disneyland Resort's Disney California Adventure theme park.

Oh my gosh the memories! Loved Mark (and Elise) as hosts. I spent SO much time in this attraction when I was a tween/teen and loved every minute of it! (Also I'm such a huge dork that I noticed the cues for 2,000 and up in the second game are all one question ahead of where they should be XD)

This looks like it was so much fun. I love Millionaire and how it’s a simple format that just works incredibly well. Though when this was complete, Millionaire’s ratings were starting to decline. Goes to show why over saturation is not a good thing.

I think the syndicated version is better than the traditional hot seat version, as the audience can see the questions displayed on the screen.

I remember that little video at the beginning with Regis philbin. That was when the primetime version was still airing. When the prime time version was discontinued they removed that short video. Probably for good reason as it took up valuable playing time from the people. Still the playing time was short about 25 minutes per show; wish it was longer and gave more opportunities for people to play. I remember times when only 1 person play and it sucked.

I don't remember seeing that intro video when I visited "Millionaire Play It" in Florida as a kid. I think it was around 2003 or 2004 when I first went, and that was when the syndicated version was going on with Meredith Vieira. The primetime version with Regis ended in 2002, so the trip to see a taping of "Millionaire" after winning a million points just went away. Well, unless the top prize winner was invited to a syndicated episode taping, the Disney Cruise was the main reward for winning a million points.

WIll Defunctland do a video on this Defunctland: The History of Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Play It! at both Disney California Adventure and Disney's Hollywood Studios?

They should have kept this going even after they exhausted the show for a while (though Kimmel has revived it well), it's an Evergreen ride concept.

For American Idol, though, during the live voting in April and May, they should better use this facility (both in California and Florida) for the Ask the Audience lifeline! (Ryan Seacrest will use this lifeline if the voting result margins are very close. For the player in the hot seat, though, during the Idol finale, he/she can choose to walk away without risking to vote for the winner, as an incorrect answer for the final question will make the player lose 468K points.)

Haha, they had a Letters answers. But they were nice. A:A. Also this is more generous than the show was with Timers, it didn't start until the host finished reading the answers. Meredith's timers were brutal as she had to read them in 15 seconds

This attraction was an interactive version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, except players were awarded with points instead of dollars. I think it deserved to be retired since it made space for an otherwise unpopular area of the park, so guests could visit this attraction instead of Superstar Limo.
