God I hope you trust whoever your hose supplier is. Whenever it comes to those EPDM hoses, I'd NEVER wanna only use a single punchlock band to secure the fitting, regardless of silicon use. The best method is to crimp ferrules on the ends, those kinds of hoses really don't like bands and are prone to leaks. While crimping them may be a lil more expensive, you'll have a hose with MUCH better longevity! Signed, An industrial hose manufacturer
