Thanks for reacting to Freestyle! Back in the early 2000's live bands were really popular and Freestyle is one of them. This song is actually their original and it's extremely one of the best songs ever written. Their O.G. songs are mostly ballads with a touch of 90's RnB, as you know OPM is heavily influenced by that genre in the late 90's.

They are a band from the 90’s and their songs were a huge hit. The band scene was super prolific at the time, everyone was so good. I remember it was the year 2000 and I saw them in concert at the Araneta where SB19 practically lives now and they sang this song with Jinky Vidal, their female lead singer, good times for ballads, rnb and OPM music in the Philippines. Damn, that was a while back 😂

The main vocalist, Top Suzara, wrote this song along with many other hit songs of Freestyle in that era and he remains to be one of the most prolific songwriters of his time. The original band Freestyle was formed in the '90s and had many original hits. Now the current band has mostly new members but I'm still glad they were still able to perform this song on the Wish Bus with no other than Top on lead vocals. This band, before leaving for Manila to sign with Viva records were the band that perform on my friend's 18th Bday. Thos were the days I fell in Love with my wife. It 25 years ago. The best band to come from Davao. We also use to watch them at Pag Asa bar in Davao.

As most band in the past they were big, but on a local level. If they were to debut now instead of 1996 they would have been huge due to social media. Without YT and other social media outlet we wouldnt be able to listen to artist we never seen or heard before.
