That's a beautiful cockpit job, James. Don't think my eyes could handle the wires! It's always a shame when you close it up and can't see much, but there's a lot of enjoyment getting there ....

Thanks Paul, I agree it's a shame but at least I have a record of it !

A very unique paint scheme. One I have never seen on a Zero before. Loved the build start to finish. The wiring on the engine and in the cockpit added an extraordinary amount of scale effect detail to both areas. Job VERY well done sir 👍👍

When picking out small details on instrument panel, I dry brush it in whatever colour it needs. It’s a lot easier than trying to carefully trying to paint it on directly. Good build btw, very enjoyable to watch.

Looks great, I've learned many very interesting things, I must check VMS and more MRP also. And I give You one advice - it is good to use cap for airbrush cup - when it is full, it's very easy to spill paint over model. With so precise painting, that will be total disaster. ;) All the best for You! ;)

@lpjmodels2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bertrand ! I try and balance information without overloading the viewer so that's good to hear
@bertrandviolette90082 жыл бұрын
@@lpjmodels I think, it’s the good balance. Anyway you’ll have a lot of other models to deliver others informations, so, no problem. Once again I really appreciate how the paint job and the weathering are made, because it is the more realistic that way. Sure, when in front of the model, the way you do the weathering can be really appreciated.
@CetoFreakingKaiba2 жыл бұрын
Brilliant result, I really like what you achieved with the chipping medium, granted that it's really hard to get a good result with a metallic substrate. I also love the way you handled oils. It is an easy way to add visual interest to your model and many use it sloppily, but I think you showed them the respect that is due to bring out the best of them.
@lpjmodels2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Agelos ! I think one of the things people expect with oils is to "get them " right away but like with all of these things it takes time and practice to understand the nuances and little tricks to get them performing as we want. But once you get the hang of them they are so versatile !

Absolutely stunning James. The depth and tonal variation in the paintwork is brilliant, the chipping is tastefully restrained, and the weathering is just enough. I have to ask - why didn’t you apply the canopy masks before glueing the canopies on? Intuitively it would seem to give you more control to be able to hold and move the canopies in your hand while applying the masks.
@lpjmodels2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bruce! If I can get away with it I'll mask with the canopy attached, sometimes you may need to do a little filling , and it's good to see if there is any dust or crap on the canopy before gluing it down.
