Hey Mike great video. At 31:15 you speak about your frame being bent a little bit. Mine is bent the exact same way in the same spot, do you think that it comes from the factory that way? Thanks for all your videos

@PappyDan3 жыл бұрын
i have seen your stuff, dont think i chimed in on any of it, i think i have an idea of what you intend for your build, so im offering some advice that may save your build in the future, there are 2 drill bit sizes in sure you have in a set, 1/8 and 3/16, and im going to enplane why, when you romp and stomp around in your finished truck, the motor spins up and it spins up the flex plate and torque converter as well, the torque converter is connected to a pump, as this the pump spins up the pressure increases, this pressure has an effect on the converter, it expands, not much but it is enough, if the clearance is too tight between the converter and flex plate, the expanded converter applies pressure on the crank killing the thrust bearing in the block, the proper clearance for longevity is needed, so push the torque converter all the way in, for a daily driver and just passing someone on the freeway, clearance of 1/8 between the converter and flex plate, romp and stomp with a few burn outs 3/16, any gap remaining with these size drill bits used as a gauge tool needs to be filled by washers, if you think im blowing smoke, please go talk to the guys at the transmission shops.
