For anyone wondering: Every Box Topper is a Shock, and there’s a 1-in-24 chance of opening a shock in the land slot of a draft booster. So there will probably be 1 or 2 people in a draft pod who open a Shock, and if you buy a draft box, you’ll probably get 2 or 3 (because of the box topper). There are also Collector boosters that have 2 land slots, but it’s probably not going to have 2 shocks in a pack.

Just a thought I had from the thumbnail, I think it's great just how many members LRR has. Being an acorn or not isn’t about what is more “wild”. Plenty of cards with acorns or that were silverbordered before have effects that are easy to comprehend but would require excessive rules rewrites to actually function. Like Last Strike or Trample on a burn spell. Magic has to be written like a computer program, which means sometimes something that would be easy to understand for us has to be over explained for the rules to work.

Greatest Show in the Multiverse is basically unplayable. "Outside the game" in Magic terms means your sideboard. You have to pick cards in your Unfinity draft sideboard since this has an acorn on it you probably won't be playing it anywhere else. So you have to have 5 different instants and sorceries from the same artist that you aren't playing in your main board, which is nigh-impossible. Edit: I looked it up, it is, in fact, impossible.

The MSEM fan format is weird and it definitely has some custom cards like far out, and there is definitely a very annoying meta deck based around modal effects and choosing extra modes and stuff. That deck is so fricking annoying to play against. Also there’s one that basically conjures three copies of itself, to use alchemy terms, and is also a deck base.

You know you've consumed a lot of LRR content when you have an odd sense of... not disappointment, but unfulfilled expectations, when it cuts to the shot of Graham to one side of the frame, and you expect either a video game related graphic to already be on the screen in the corner, or for a list of card prices and total pack value to slide into frame while also discussing first pick in a draft. Not unlike how my dad will often clear his throat in a specific way before starting to speak, but will sometimes do it without going on to say anything.
