Elk trolled so many games this tournament. Even the stuff you can look at outside of the game like builds he trolled. I wouldnt put him above Berserker. I wouldnt put him above Hans either but they're probably pretty close

@@aircatcher6891 elk has trolled many fights, but he has also carried many games. Western adcs dont have to skill to be ruler but also doesn’t take enough initiative to make an impact.

the west has always been the weaker team. even in the 'good' years where EU stood a chance, it was never a stomp 3-0 against eastern teams. they still had to fight tooth and nail. nothing new here, but cant wait for lck vs lpl. gonna be a banger. dont support countries, support good players :) the players make the team

⁠@@tidus7081 while people should support players. Regional success being on repeat is also a fact. Maybe something we can learn from coaching or supporting new talent. Lpl has seen so many new promising players emerge year after year and the west is grinding with players on the verge of retirement.

There may be a good chance that there just isn't as much of a talent pool to pick from in the LEC and LCS, but I remember Rekkles or some pro-player once saying that you have a much higher chance of getting into pro play if you have connections. The same could be for LPL and LCK but they actually take care to foster new talent. Not to mention that whatever talent stays, its because they perform well and consistently. In the LEC, the rookie players that stayed that I can name off the top of my head are Trymbi, Targamas(to an extent), Adam, hopefully Yike after this, and szygenda. Meanwhile, you look at T1 in LCK and that's easily 4 rookies that found success. What the west need to do now is take risk with new talent from academy teams while keeping 2-3 veterans for experience. No more "super" teams. The work culture of the players need to change as well. I'm not talking about only league and no life, but rather coaching staff need to be way more hard handed with their players when they make mistakes etc. Its been proven many times how important momentum and morale is in E-sports, as well as team chemistry. If management focuses on that and players genuinely try to get better to aim for internationals, the west could start making semis again at the very least.

@@darrenkimberly2648 fully agree. For idk how much longer league esports will last. I hope the west can find some success sometime internationally. All the drama with the orgs definitely don’t help.

I cant believe how a proplayer at that level can tunnelvision that hard and ulti only aphelios instead of 4 people in that situation with the easiest and most straight foward combo in the game, they kill at least 3 easily. Not the only play where caps and g2 failed horrendously mechanicaly. Arguably the windwall at baron in the first game, the hans no flash or miky ultimates in third game could be worse

@@Sn-no7us my guy caps solo killed nearly every other top mid in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and always played off meta and is the only western player to make two world finals in a row. But yeah I’m sure he just got lucky with team mates two years in a row.

I understand that Elk isn't as good as Ruler, Peyz and Guma, but he is close and still really fucking good. Better than all of the western adcs regardless.

He saw Gragas on that river bush the entire time, still hovered wall in range of gragas E+Flash, and failed to reactively flash gragas ult. He made 3-4 big mistakes in this one sequence alone, and that pattern has happened all of MSI. I'm an LPL fan myself, but some of you guys simp for the most mediocre players.

i agree but the windwall is 10 times worse than the cask imo. caps walled at the worst time and angle, literally just pressed W for fun without a single thought in mind. Plenty of super basic mechanical mistakes from g2 idk. In game 2 on the toplane dive they missed like 4 abilities, caps missed w+q combo and then another q, also ultied into the zhonnyas and miky missed horrendously the tornado against a standing target. Then in game 3 hans didnt flash the charm and miky ultied horrible, not only in that play but also a couple of times before

also the caps annie flank where he ultied only 1 person and then flashed into his face with no cds like wtf is this MSI or 4am soloq

Caps is great but isn't the same from 2019, G2 tries to maintain the same style that Caps did with Jankos cuz Caps is kinda used to play like this (imo thats why G2 took a while to fit the roster).

Well he supports lck first obviously, then he’s literally friends with and well connected with most western teams so he supports them next, then lpl. Every streamer has an order ls just happens to have lpl at the bottom. If you want someone who roots for lpl there are plenty of other streamers.

yeah im starting to believe ludens is always a bait. You see all squishy champs except jax and think that ludens is better than liandry for oneshotting but ludens dmg is very underwelming, you are never oneshotting anyone with enchanters and how much HP and resistances items give nowadays. Im starting to think liandrys is alwas better in every situation, the burn is a lot of value.

they all inted - yike got caught out, didn't play for yasou game 1 and missed some major maokai ults, hans got caught game 3 and inted game 4, Hans/miky stunted caps game 2 early game so hard, caps messed game 3 annie up and the windfall game 1 wasn't good, BB messed up game 3 as well getting caught in bush before drake and was useless game 4.. 3 of them failed flash or to escape in that baron ace game 1... BLG counter inted a lot but elk usually ints after putting down sooo much damage on aphelios whereas some of G2s ints game at the back of doing nothing, outputting no serious damage before it happens

BB stopwatch wasn't thr problem. It was hans sama getting caught by the flash charm. Hans is the MOST IMPORTANT G2 player in that game but he didn't flash away and got charmed. All of them played bad in that moment but Hans played the worst.

HE WAS THEIR ONLY FRONT LINE the only reason he could go for that and know he would not die was becasue darius was not their...How are yall not understanding that if Ahri goes in with darius around she dies and the team fight is lost even if you kill jinx if darius and veigo get resets your fucked.
