My seats and hardware finally come in for the LS Miata so we throw those in, throw new seats in the Z, and do some 1-3 pulls spinning tires in the miata.

Chassis code for your Impreza Is a GC6, not a GC8! G standing for Impreza, C standing for sedan, and 6 for the 2.5!

Taylor, I'd definitely recommend getting a HANS, you dont need to change your belts, it doesn't effect your head motion nearly as much as you'd expect, and its basically the best piece of safety equipment you can add. Especially since you have all of the supporting parts.

This you can invest in harnesses all you want but a 5 point is still gonna break your neck in a serious accident.

@@mika012300 Exactly, a HANS is such a worthwhile investment. Especially since he mentioned w2w racing, they're required pretty much with everyone (that I'm aware of). It always blows my mind that safety requirements for drifting are so lax.

@@alexstromberg7696 Fire suppression is a bit overkill if you look at how much that costs imo having a portable fire extinguisher that has a good quick release system that actually works should be enough imo. Afaik cars do get inspected at OSW. I'm definitely of the mindset of not doing something unless it's actually gonna improve safety. A lot of my friends are getting 4 points without anti submarining and i haven't seen one of them have the harnesses adjusted right either they all wear their lap belt on their stomach so they'd be dead the instant they'd get in any kind of accident over 50 kph stuff like that really get's to me. So many people just do shit cause they think it looks cool without doing any research.

You reeeaaalllly need harness stays on the cage for your shoulder straps. Your harness bar on the cage is so far back that if you got in a wreck, the left shoulder harness could slide around it. Which wouldnt be very safe for you. Just please weld something on there so the harness' cant slide forward.

The MOMO's are looking sweet with the harnesses. Outfitting the Miata with serious seats...I'm so looking forward to seeing you ripping on the cart track with the Miata. What you think is "rambling" is exactly the kind of stuff and excitement that's contagious. Don't change a thing... Also, really like your approach and attitude when not everything goes as initially expected. Great example for people to "not sweat the small stuff" in life. btw... Baseboards looking sweet... Great job and sets off the floors and the paint.

Found the best way to mount side mounts is to bolt the front of the seats to mounts, bolt the front of the mount in, you can then tilt the seat forward to get to the back mount bolts, and then you've only gotta muck about with the two year seat mount bolts.

It would be sick if you could get custom doorcards like you have in the Z for the miata. I know theres the cage and that makes things difficult, but if you had them, the interior would be so clean. Miata rips!!!

If you do go with the halos, For your helmet mounted go pro, mount it on the bottom of your visor on your chin. Do it with Dan has a video on it, plus I like the more centered POV. 👍🏼

can you mod a gopro handlebar mount to the cage crossmember between the seats at around eye level? that would give good FOV and you could even angle down for footcam ...

Hey Taylor I recommend that you look at a guy named do it with Dan to set up your helmet cam he posted a video about what he uses for motovlogging, he uses a chin mounted cam, I don't know if you would want to use chin mount but I suggest checking it out at least.

You should have the miata tuned on a dyno, might be able to get alittle more out of it and know the tune is clean. But otherwise great work keep at it!

You really should start considering a hans device regardless if its required. With your level of driving its only a matter of time. Your necks super soft in an accident... might as well get used to wearing it, it dissapears quickly. Also, in the HANS brochure it makes sure to tell you you dont need 2 inch harnesses. They were designed to be used with 3 inch shoulder belts. Also you and Adam need to step up the game and get in firesuits. safety first and nobody wants to get knocked out and roast in a fire strapped in to a harness for who knows how long. That would suck. Love the build so far!!

Taylor you could make a camera bracket for the right Halo bulster that can be placed or removed with thumb screws or something like that so it is easily removable.

Idk about drifting but the great part about crow is that you can get them recerted for SFI for like $60 instead of a new set of belts

The name of the belts is pronounced like the bird a crow... the owner is a super nice guy and belts are top notch quality people in nascar even use them etc
