It's definitely possible. He has a lot into the suspension and a huge stall, good tire, good fuel and tune. Maybe the whole car is lightened a lot. Better rear gears also. That suspension is set up sick. For those who know racing suspension is just as important as motor.

I ask why couse I own a 2000 stock bottom end ls with arp studs when I had the 6 speed I was dumping my spec 3 clutch at 7000 rpm an shifting at 6800 now we have a 400th 3 speed an I’m setting my 2 step rt at 3400 rpm an shifting at 7000 an my motor been holding up fine

Well there getting 500hp or bit more out of these stock block 5.3s with cam only and good intake injection set up. On top of 250 shot and we all know if you run NOS alot you can pull more hp off a 250 of NOS. Good suspension, less weight yeah it sounds bout Right the time he's saying.

So basically cam only stock cube ls1, with a 250 shot? where does the other 200-300hp come from it would take this car to run that time? it would take 890-900 hp for that car to run that time. and that's figuring it weighing a total of 3200 lbs. Stock they weigh 3400. nice car and nice time. but this engine Def got more going on than just a 250 shot, on stock cube. 408ci maybe?

@@SheerMayhem im sorry you dont recognize when someone is Bs'ing you. cam only Ls1 with a 250 shot would be lucky to crack 650 wheel hp. that is not close to enough power to run an 8. Calculating it out a 3250 lb car would need 900 hp to run an 8.95. Thats assuming they cut a ton of weight off the car and not counting the drivers weight.

That car probably only makes 650-700rwhp. They can survive at that power level. especially in a light as hell car.

Different brand but close to same cubes, my brothers 321 stroker, flat top pistons in full weight mustang on 250 shot went almost High nines in quarter Mile. He has suspension also

@@shitbox82 LOL! I never said anything about race engine. That engine never came with ARP rod bolts from the factory so it is NOT stock. But since you are making stupid statements. When you install rod bolts usually the rod ends need to be re-sized which involves machine work but I doubt you knew that. I could install a Procharger on a stock engine with ZERO modification internally but still stock engine though. LOL!

@@VegasRT500 Wow so much anger. 😄 I know plenty about reconditioning stock rods, enough to know that stock LS rods are reconditioned differently than SB or BB rods due to the cracked cap, that being said I didn’t use stock rods in the LS engines I’ve built, 4340 forged rods with ARP 2000 bolts in my 370” LQ4, with Wiseco 2618 pistons. I love the stock bottom end debate, always a touchy subject. 😄
